Assigning an administrator

Administrators can optionally be given the ability to moderate all of the content in your entire forum. That includes all posts, members, albums, events, etc.

You can also optionally give them access to specific sections of your Website Toolbox admin area. They can log in to the Website Toolbox admin area by adding "/admin" to the end of your forum address.

You can assign an administrator by following the instructions below:

  1. Log in to your Website Toolbox account.
  2. Click the Users link.
  3. In the Users menu, click the Administrators link.
  4. Click the Assign an administrator link/button.
  5. In the text box, enter the Username of the user you would like to assign as an administrator. (If the user's account hasn't been created yet, first register the user account.)
  6. Select the permissions you would like to assign.
  7. Click the Assign Administrator button.

When you create a forum at Website Toolbox, we automatically create your administrator account on your forum. We use the username and password that you chose when creating your forum.

If User Accounts are turned off in your settings, follow the instructions below to assign an administrator.

  1. Log in to your Website Toolbox account.
  2. Click the Content link.
  3. In the Content menu, click the Manage link.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions.
