User Reputation / Liking Posts

This option is a great way to incentivize users to post valuable content. It also allows you to easily identify the best users and posts. It gives a reputation score to users based on how much the community has liked their posts. Users can like or dislike any post. The number of likes minus the number of dislikes a user's posts receive becomes their reputation score.

You can enable or disable this feature on your forum by following the instructions below:

  1. Log in to your Website Toolbox account.
  2. Click the Settings link.
  3. In the Settings menu, click the General link.
  4. Check or Uncheck the Likes & Reputation option.
  5. Save your settings.

If you would like to display the Like button next to posts but would not like to show the reputation score on user profiles, you can do that by following the instructions below:

  1. Log in to your Website Toolbox account.
  2. Click the Appearance link.
  3. In the Apperance menu, click the HTML link.
  4. Copy the following code into the Forum Head Tag HTML Code section:

    <style>
    .reputation {
       display: none;
    }
    </style>
    
  5. Save your settings.
