HTTP traffic to your forum will automatically redirect to the HTTPS version as long as your forum doesn't contain any insecure inline items in the Appearance -> HTML section.

Insecure inline items woud be JavaScript files, CSS files, iframes, or URLs loaded within CSS code that have a URL which begins with http instead of https.
