Importing from another Website Toolbox forum
Select "Website Toolbox" as the platform when you are importing content from another Website Toolbox forum, or when you are restoring the same forum from a backup. Upload either the CSV export created under Content → Export (a zip archive of per-table CSV files) or a .sql database backup compressed as .zip, .tar.gz, .tgz, or .gz. The import does not have to cover the whole forum: for a partial import, include only the files or tables you want — for example, just forums, topics, and posts — and only that content is imported. A full import covers forums and categories, topics, posts, member accounts (including their email addresses and passwords), member groups, and attached files and images. Settings, paid plans, albums, and private messages are not imported. Importing the same export again updates the same records instead of duplicating them.
Importing CSV Content
If the platform you're currently using isn't supported yet, we can either add support for it or you can import your data in CSV (Comma Separated Values) format by entering "csv" as the platform name. You can then upload a compressed zip file of the CSV content. We have sample files that you can use as a template. For inline images in post data, ensure that the image uses the full URL to the image instead of a relative image so that the image URLs don't break when the posts are imported. If the CSV import functionality doesn't currently support something you need to import, please let us know and we can add that functionality.
