Free forum domain names

When you create a Website Toolbox account, you are provided with a free forum address that uses a domain name owned by Website Toolbox. If you already have your own custom domain name, you can use your custom domain name in place of your free Website Toolbox forum address. For example, instead of using a free Website Toolbox address like https://username.discussion.community, you can use https://forums.yourdomain.com. You also have the option of purchasing a managed domain name of your choice from us.

Website Toolbox provides you with a number of free domain names to use for your forum. The free domain names provided by Website Toolbox are given below:

  • discussion.community
  • foro.community
  • discussioncommunity.com
  • forumchatter.com
  • forumchitchat.com
  • messageboardchat.com
  • supporttopics.com
  • gamerchatforum.com
  • fanchatforum.com
  • forumcommunity.co.uk
  • forumchitchat.co.uk
  • discussionforum.co
  • fanforum.co
  • supportforum.co
  • websitetoolbox.com

Your forum address would look like https://USERNAME.default_domain_name/ on applying a free domain name. Here, the USERNAME will be replaced by your Website Toolbox username and the default_domain_name will be one of the free domain names.

For example, if you select discussion.community as your domain name. In this case, your forum address would be:
https://USERNAME.discussion.community

One of the free domain names will be applied on your forum by default. However, you can choose a different free domain name as per your requirement by following the instructions given below.

  1. Log in to your Website Toolbox account.
  2. Click the Appearance link.
  3. In the Appearance menu, select the Domain Name link.
  4. Select a domain name that suits your requirement from the Default Domain Name drop down.
  5. Click the Change button.

Note that you can only use one of the free domain names if you have not already setup a custom domain name or purchased a domain name from Website Toolbox. If you have a custom domain name and want to use a free default domain name instead, you will first need to remove your custom domain name and then the Default Domain Name drop down mentioned in the instructions above will appear on the page.
