When you pin topics to the top of a category, they stay above the regular topic list. This is useful for announcements or important discussions you want members to see first. You can control which pinned topic appears first by changing the order in which they are pinned.

Only administrators and category moderators can change the order of pinned topics. Regular members cannot.

1. Log in to your forum account using an administrator or moderator account.
2. If your forum has multiple categories, click the Categories link.
3. Click the link for the category that contains the pinned topics you want to reorder.
4. Locate the pinned topics at the top of the topic list. They are marked with a pushpin icon.
5. Click and hold a pinned topic, then drag it up or down to its new position in the pinned section.
6. Release the topic to drop it into place. The new order is saved automatically, so there is no save button to press.

Important notes

• A pinned topic cannot be dragged down into the regular topics list below it.
• A topic that is not pinned cannot be dragged up into the pinned section. If you want to move it there, pin the topic first, then drag it into the desired position.
• If you do not see the pin icon or cannot drag the topics, make sure the correct permissions are set for the moderator account.
