The profanity filter

The profanity filter is used to prevent inappropriate words from displaying in the forum.

Our forum system has two profanity filters modes:

Full Filter: This option will block all profanity even if it begins or ends with other characters.

Light Filter: This option will only block profanity that begins and ends with a space.

For Example: The text shit.... will be blocked by the full filter but it will not be blocked by the light filter because the word is followed by a period. Some people may want to turn this feature to light because it may cause a problem while trying to post some words. For example: scrape contains the word crap, so it would be blocked by the full filter.

Please follow the directions mentioned below to activate the profanity filter:

1. Log in to your Website Toolbox account.
2. Click the Settings link.
3. In the Settings menu, click the Security link.
4. Select the level of profanity from the drop down next to the Profanity filter level under Filter Settings.
5. Click the Save button.

You can add more words or phrases to the profanity filter by clicking the Edit Filter link next to profanity filter level drop down.
