If you are receiving spam signups from a specific country or would just not like to accept users from a specific country, you can block that country. You can block a country directly from the Analytics page or from the Settings page. Both methods update the same Country Access setting. Click a method below to see its steps.
The Analytics page shows a world map of where your page views came from over the last 30 days, so you can see a country’s traffic before you block it.
- Log in to your Website Toolbox account
- Click Analytics
- Scroll to the Page views by country map and hover over the country that you would like to block.
- Click Block this country in the tooltip. The country changes color on the map.
To allow the country again, hover over it and click Unblock this country. Visitors from blocked countries receive an access denied message, and their page views are not counted toward your page view usage.
- Log in to your Website Toolbox account
- Click Settings
- Click Privacy
- If a summary is shown in the Country Access section, click the edit icon next to it to open the country list.
- Select Deny.
- Click inside the country search box and select each country that you would like to block. You can search by country name or by the two-letter country code. For example, select US to block the United States.
- Click Save.
Users in the selected countries will receive an access denied message and will not be able to view your forum.
