Step-by-Step: Add Your Forum

Embed the Forum

1. Visit x-cart.com and log in to your X-Cart admin area. The admin URL is typically yourstore.com/admin.php.
2. In the admin area, go to Content → Pages and click New page to create a new content page for your forum. If you don't see the Pages option, make sure the Simple CMS add-on is installed and enabled under My Add-ons.
3. Get your Website Toolbox embed code:
   1. Log in to your Website Toolbox account or create a new forum if you don't already have one.
   2. Go to Integrate Embed → Embed your forum and copy the embed code.
4. In the X-Cart page editor, click the Source button in the WYSIWYG toolbar to switch to HTML source mode. Paste your Website Toolbox embed code into the content area, then click Source again to return to the visual editor.
5. Set a page name (for example, "Forum" or "Community"), configure the Clean URL if desired, and click Save and close.
6. Go to Content → Menus and add a new menu item linking to your new forum page so visitors can find it in your store's navigation.
7. Visit your store to verify the forum renders correctly on the new page. Copy the URL of the published forum page.
8. Go back to Website Toolbox and configure the embed settings:
   1. Go to Integrate → Embed → Embed Your Forum.
   2. Paste your X-Cart forum page URL into the Where is the forum embedded? field.
