Embedding a forum into your Brizy website

Brizy is a no-code website builder that offers both a WordPress plugin and a cloud-based platform. Its visual drag-and-drop editor lets anyone create polished websites without writing code. But like most website builders, it doesn't include a built-in community forum or discussion feature.

That's where Website Toolbox comes in. You can embed a fully featured discussion forum directly into your Brizy site using the Embed element, or simply link to your forum from your site's navigation. Either way, you get user accounts, moderation tools, and real-time conversations.

This works really well for:

  • SaaS product communities
  • Online course discussions
  • Coaching and membership sites
  • Customer support forums
  • Feedback and feature request boards
  • Creator and hobby communities
  • Private member groups

This step-by-step guide walks you through the process:

Step-by-Step: Add Your Forum

  1. Visit brizy.io and log in to your account. If you don't have one, click Get Started to create a free account.
  2. From the dashboard, open an existing project or click Create a new project to start fresh.
  3. In the Brizy visual editor, add a new page or open an existing page where you want the forum. You can add a new page from the Pages menu in the top toolbar.
  4. You can either embed the forum directly into the page or link to it. Both approaches start the same way. You'll need your Website Toolbox forum URL or embed code:
    1. Log in to your Website Toolbox account or create a new forum if you don't already have one.
    2. Copy your forum URL. You'll need this for the linking approach.
    3. For the embedding approach, go to Integrate Embed Embed your forum , and copy the embed code.
  5. Option A: Embed the forum: In the Brizy editor, open the Elements panel from the left sidebar. Drag the Embed element onto your page where you want the forum to appear. Click on the Embed element and paste your Website Toolbox embed code into the code field. The forum will render directly inside your page.

Option B: Link to the forum: In the Brizy editor, add a Button element from the left sidebar. Set the button's link to your Website Toolbox forum URL and enable Open in new tab. This keeps the setup simple and opens the forum in its own page.
  6. Click the Publish button in the top-right corner of the Brizy editor. If you're using Brizy Cloud, configure your custom domain or use the free Brizy subdomain. If you're using the WordPress plugin, publish or update the page as usual.
  7. If you chose the embedding approach, copy the URL of your published forum page. You can find it in your site's navigation or by visiting the published URL and navigating to the forum page.
  8. If you chose the embedding approach, go back to the Website Toolbox Integrate Embed Embed Your Forum section and paste your Brizy forum page URL into the Where is the forum embedded? field.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Brizy have a built-in forum feature?

No, Brizy does not currently have a native forum feature. However, you can easily add a forum to your site using Website Toolbox, either by embedding it directly into a page using the Embed element or by linking to it from your navigation.

Should I embed the forum or link to it?

Both work well. Embedding keeps users on your Brizy site and integrates the forum seamlessly into your page layout. Linking is simpler to set up and opens the forum in its own page, which can be a better experience on mobile devices. Choose whichever fits your workflow.

Can I customize the look of my embedded forum?

Yes. Website Toolbox provides a theme editor with a variety of themes you can choose from to match your Brizy site's design. You can customize colors, fonts, layout settings, and more to create a seamless look.

Can I make the forum private or members-only?

Absolutely. You can restrict forum access to logged-in users, create invite-only communities, or charge for access with subscription plans. Combined with the SSO integration, you can seamlessly connect your Brizy site's user system with the forum.

Do I need to know how to code?

No. Brizy is a no-code website builder with a visual drag-and-drop editor. You can add the forum by dragging the Embed element onto your page and pasting the code. No coding skills required.

Will the forum work on mobile devices?

Yes. Website Toolbox forums are fully responsive and work great on phones, tablets, and desktops. If you embed the forum, the iframe adapts to the container size automatically. Website Toolbox also offers a mobile app so your members can participate from their phones.
