What is a moderator?

Your forum can have 3 different types of moderators:

  1. Forum Moderators
  2. Calendar Moderators
  3. Super Moderators

Moderators are users who have been assigned to oversee specific forums or calendars. They generally have the ability to edit and delete posts, move topics, and perform other actions. Becoming a moderator for a specific forum or calendar is usually rewarded to users who are particularly helpful and knowledgeable in the subject of the forum they are moderating.

A super moderator is typically a user who is part of the Super Moderators user group. A super moderator has all permissions for all forums and calendars.

Notes:

  • A moderator does not have access to your Website Toolbox account.
  • As the owner of your forum, you have to Register an account in your forum and assign it as a moderator to manage your forum content.
  • You must have member registration activated in the Settings -> General section of your Website Toolbox account in order to have moderators in your forum. If you do not have member registration activated, you can use the Secondary Password feature instead of using moderators. You can find more information about the Secondary Password feature by logging into your Website Toolbox account and clicking the "Post Management" link.
