Exporting your forum content

You can export your forum content, uploaded files, and members list by following the instructions below:

1. Login to your Website Toolbox account.
2. Click the Content link.
3. In the Content menu, click the Export link.
4. Click the box corresponding to the format you would like to export your content in.
5. Your export request will begin being processed. For large forums, the export can take several minutes to finish processing. Once the export has been processed, a Download link will automatically appear on the page.

The forum content and members list exports are in CSV (Comma Separated Values) format. CSV files can be opened by any text editor or spreadsheet program, such as Notepad, Excel, or Google Docs. The CSV files are compressed in a ZIP file to reduce the time required to download them. ZIP files can be opened by a program such as 7-ZIP.

Export requests are limited to one request per 24 hour period.

Website Toolbox can provide an export of your forum data in SQL format upon request for a $49 fee. The fee must be charged because exporting the data in SQL format requires a technician to manually go into the database and extract your forum data, which is a time consuming and complex process.
