File uploading explained
Our most recent forum pricing plans include an unlimtied amount of storage space. Some older (and less expensive) pricing plans came with 500 MB of storage space for uploading files and photos. If you need more storage space, you can upgrade to a larger file uploading plan. You can view your current file uploading usage statistics by clicking here.
The file uploading utility can accomplish two main tasks: post attachments and avatar uploading.
A post attachment is a file that has been uploaded from a user's computer and attached to a forum post.
You can enable or disable post attachments by following the directions below:
You can edit a user group to toggle user permissions related to post attachments.
When your users are composing a new post, they will see a Attach files link on that page, clicking that link will allow them to attach a file to their post by uploading it.
Your users can upload their own avatar picture. An avatar is a small picture displayed in the user's profile and next to all their posts.
Your users can upload their avatar by clicking the Upload an avatar from my computer link when editing their forum account.
