I cant wait for the game tonight....Ya know what I cant wait for more though? The knee jerk reactions that are CERTAINLY gonna come from the henry and big als on this board. OOOOOHHHH its like christmas come early. I cant wait to have sweeping statements that are going to be made regarding players and the entire season based on this first game. Its like clockwork and I cant wait. Is pominville gonna go pointless in the first game "proving" hes not worth his contract? What about Miller? The Bills first pre season game clearly gave the henry types enough info to get exact facts about the team so why not the first regular season game right? Happy posting whiners.

Another great season of hockey is about or if you count the 4 games played already started. At any rate I can't wait to watch Biron make the GM look like a fool again. Yeah i am sure you will say but Miller is younger. Some of you will say that he is better I will roll on the floor because your wrong. I sure hope that no one tries to even say that the Flyers are a better team because you still be wrong. The only thing you can say is that Biron is better than Miller its clear as day. I can't wait to watch Brion wizz past Miller for a second year in a row on his way to the playoffs.

O-line coach Kugler in no Mouse McNally

For the amount of money spent on this offensive line you'd think the Bills o-line coach would have no problems, but since the Mouse left this o-line has been in shambles. They should've never got rid of the Mouse, he made Peters a Pro-Bowler now look at Peters. He looks like a deer in the headlights out there. Walker and Dockery look like a bunch of overpaid fat asses and who should take the blame for this 25th ranked rushing o-line? I say get rid of Kugler. Is the Mouse still available?

I'm enjoying these baseball playoffs....

And the Yankees aren't in it....No pinstriped frauds, the biggest failures in the history of sports, a $209 million payroll and third place finish...no-one is talking about them... and it's SO nice....ahhhh..playoff baseball at its finest. I could get used to this. It's SOOO refreshing to see the teams that are in the playoffs actually earned their way there and didn't try to buy their way in like the Yankees.

League Championship series predictions
Dodgers in 6
Red Sox in 4
Capt. Rivet

good move by lindy to let the leaders lead. Rivet is the most experienced guy on the team (save Teppo), but a seemingly fearless guy who will drop the mits when mits need to be dropped....which is exactly what this team needs. a leader who can provide that can send a strong message to the rest of the team.

a lot of people wouldve thought pominville was the sure bet, but no one outside the sabres dressing room knows what really goes on with regards to leaders on the team.

overall its a good move to put an experienced vet in the drivers seat with a young, talented core of players that can follow the lead.

im not gonna lie...im pretty excited to see this guy knock a few crease crashers on their ass.

WGR Fan Poll.

Great, new blood was needed. Now Rivet must suggest to go and get McLaren off waivers. Hmmmmmmmm. What a way to break in the boards at the HSBC Arena!

Big responsibility for the new addition though to take the captaincy with a bunch of Walmarters to be realistic!

Will Regier listen?

Thats a crap shoot!

Take a mulligan! (4!)
Rivet

I have to question the move to make rivet Captain. I will admit i looked over various reports from Montreal when he was traded to San Jose. The feeling i got is they felt he was a great Canadian but that his time was done and best days behind him. They did say he had alot of heart so no one questions that. BUT here's a guy who publically stated he loved San Jose. I don't think he wanted to come here and face it, he's towards the twilight of his career and a mercenary. Pommers was the choice. He took a discount to stay, will be here long term and is ready for the role. I have no doubt Rivet gives you veteran leadership and heart but to make a stranger to the locker room a Captain is rediculous. spacek as Assitant on the road? A guy who's on his last year of his contract and is a defensive liability and not a leader? No wonder this team struggles to make the playoffs. Enjoy those $8 2oz nachos with melted plastic they call cheese at the HSBC!

FIRE REGEIR & QUINN!!!

I've seen Jim Kelly get hammered; (physically in games I mean), just as visciously and worse, then pretty boy Trent was Sunday (by a defensive back yikes...)
AND HE ALWAYS GOT UP AND GOT BACK IN!
Once in a particular game after getting repeatedly pounded, Marchibroda suggested to a dazed Jimbo on the sidelines:
"Why don't we let Frank (Riech, never to be confused with Lossman) go in and finish this one up.
Jim ANGRILY shot back:
"This is MY GODD@#& TEAM, and I'M the quarterback here!"
Ahhh, Pennsylvania quarterbacks... they just don't make em like that anywhere else.
Don't worry Trent, you'll be just fine...

Does the O-Line need to watch the carbs?

I've heard alot of talk about our running game and lack thereof and something caught me last week was when they flashed Peters Weight at 340 which is probly below what it really is. I'm thinking we likely have one of the biggest lines in the NFL. In the "Hogs" days of Washington it may have worked, but i think it's an outdated concept. Denver had tremendous success with smaller, more athletic linemen who could pull and devastate LB's paving the way for the RB. I dont' think our line is quick or athletic enough. For the size they have they dont' intimidate, or wear down anyone so what's the point of being so big? So maybe let's look at the conditioning coach and get those fatties down to 300-320, that would include Walker, Dockery and Peters (who used to be what 280-300?). The Carolina Panthers made the switch to zone blocking under offensive coordinator Jeff Davidson for the 2007 season, i'm thinking D. Williams and their rookie are looking pretty good running the ball so far, so i have to wonder if our line is just too big and slow to be able to do what they are supossed to do out there.

not that i like saying"i told you so" but i ranted quit a bit when this dudes contract extension got done,my feeling was then and is now he is on the down ward slope of his career, after recording 6.5 sacks last year,he has rang up a heffty one sack this year..wow...one hole sack..and we are a 1/4 of the way thru the season, heaven to betsy if you project that out he will end up with 4 sacks for the season.WOW! infact im feeling kind today, lets say he winds up with 6-6.5 again is that worth that money??if you look up in the dictionary overated, you'll see his picture there.
he is undersized, bad against the run,and has one pass rush move wide to the outside, its getting old, when mike gandy can shut you down and you cant get a sniff of a cement footed qb like warner, you have problems! but add gandy to the ever growing long list of tackles who are shutting him down and making him a non factor.nothing we can do now but watch him contribute little to nothing for the remander of the season then hopefully we can up grade in free agency or the draft.
Just A Bad Day Period.

The abortion in Arizona by the Bills will only end up as a lesson well tought. From coaching all the way down to the players. Just a bad day period. That was pathetic, lackluster, putrid whatever you want to call it. The bye week should do good and then get back risin' and fix that short circuit that was witnessed watching on snowy "rabbit ears" old time television. Thanks Time Warner. A double dose hosin', Kurt Warner and Time Warner. Bills will rise from that against the Chargers at home in two weeks.

Caught a little bit of the WAL*MART hockey game at Detroit. Didn't see anything worth while in that either. Thats expected though. Good week for a blockbuster before Friday! LOL! HAAA!!!
Was Andrew Peters waived yet???

FIRE REGIER!!! (ffffffffffffforrrrrrrrre!)
