600 Point Escalation League Rules

Start date: TBD

League format: TBD

Force Composition:

With the exception of changing nationality, a player may at any time during the escalation league alter their army list.

For the league, the following army composition rules will apply. Where these rules differ from the normal composition rules these rules take precedence.

Weeks 1-3 (600 Points)

Weeks 4-6 (800 Points)

Weeks 7-9 (1000 Points)

600 and 800 points

No vehicle, plane, infantry or gun team with a AT rating of higher than 11
No vehicle with a front armor of higher than 7
1 Combat platoon instead of the normal minimum amount
Weapons and Support platoons are taken per the normal army list rules

1000 points

No vehicle, plane, infantry or gun team with a AT rating of higher than 13
No vehicle with a front armor of higher than 9
Standard army list rules

Scenario Changes:

Free-for-all: As written, except that the table is 3 wide and 4 long.
Encounter: As written, except that the table is 3 wide and 4 long.
Hold the Line: As written, except that the table is 3 wide and 4 long and the attacker deploys his army 16 from the table centre line.
Fighting Withdrawal: As written, except that the table is 3 wide and 4 long.
Breakthrough: As written, except that table is 4 wide and 3 long.
Cauldron: As written, except that table is 4 wide and 3 long. The objectives must be within 8 of the table centre and each other, and the defender must deploy within 12 of the table centre.
Roadblock: As written, except that table is 4 wide and 3. The objectives must be between 8 and 16 from the ends of the road, and the defender deploys 10 from the table centre line.

The width of the table represents the attackers and defenders table edge and the length of the table is the distance between opponents. In those missions where the stated deployment zone would put forces off the table, players have a minimum deployment zone of 8 (e.g. Hold the Line).

Game Scoring:

Use the Victory Points Table located on page 195 of the main rulebook. Players also receive an additional 1 points for each game they play if their army they are playing with is fully painted.

Game of Thrones LCG Core Set Sealed Tourney

Do we have a date other than September for the realease of the Core set yet? Really looking forward to the sealed tourney with the Core set. (As always dibs on Lannister). Anyone have a thought on using the latest Chapter pack in conjunction with the Core set. I am hesitant on the grounds that Lannister has been getting pretty screwed in the CP department.

Flames of War books

We should have Festung Europa back in stock Friday if all goes well. If you want a copy please let me know (here or by email) as soon as possible so I can make sure to get enough copies.

According to Robert at Battlefront "the mid-war books should be here in the next week or so" so we should have Afrika and Ostfront soon. He also told me that these are new versions of the books. They have the same content but they've improved the graphic presentation.

What he said was: "The mid war books are being printed in a new format. Don't worry, the information is the same form the last version to the next one. Just the look is changing" and he called them the "snazzy new look version" so we may well all end up happy that they didn't have any of the old ones left.

Looking for tournaments/playtesting

Hi, my name is Nick and I just transfered to Mizzou recently from Saint Louis University. I've been playing magic competitively for a few years now and I've been looking for a shop down in Columbia that had regularly scheduled events. The only one that popped up on mtg.com was this one. So, I was wondering how many people you guys get on average for events and if anyone here is interested in play testing? I mostly play vintage but I also play a lot of standard and limited.

Collaborative Terrain Project - City Fight Tiles

With a little creativity and some common ground rules, I think we can work together to make some awesome urban terrain. In the attachements which follow, I propose a method to collaborate to create 15mm scale modular urban terrain tiles for future FoW scenarios.
