i am reading a book called 'epileptic' by david b. he tells the story of his older brother's epilepsy and his parent's search for a cure. they go through lots of medical and spiritual hacks throughout france to hit dead end after dead end. it's a great book.

merry won't read it because she hates comics. oops. i mean graphic novels.

perhaps i will finish it in texas. we are taking lackass with us, btw.

SIMPLETONES A.D. Ask any punk about the California Sound and they will probably mention Green Day, The Vandals, or The Adolescents. However - ask any of the musicians in these bands and they will say The Simpletones of Rosemead. Originally formed in 1978 - The Simpletones were included on "Beach Blvd.", one of the very first full-length punk albums to be released that featured young Los Angeles and Orange County bands (also included were The Crowd and Rik L. Rik). Like many of the teenaged bands from that era, The Simpletones were short lived and disbanded early 1980. Guitarist, songwriter and founder Jay Lansford eventually packed his bags and left the Sunshine State for Hannover by 1990 - where he has lived ever since. To mark the 30th Anniversary of The Simpletones of Rosemead Jay has joined forces with new musicians to celebrate the songs, the innocence and the attitude of Southern California in the late 70's by forming Simpletones A.D. Fans old and new can look forward to hearing the hits "I like drugs", "California" or the classic "I have a date", which became a Worldwide sensation after legendary punks The Vandals included a cover version on their 1996 album "Live fast - Diarrhea".

Is going to be on Direct TV 101 show at 3pm performing for a hour. I will probably check it out, being how I am on the couch suffering from bicycle burn out! I did a 65 mile ride today with about 2000 people in Solvang. My legs feel like noodles and when I stand up I get gnarly a head rush!
