Rear Trans Mount Carrier

I'm looking for a Rear Trans Mount Carrier for a 74 Super. The only ones available on-line seem to be for up to 72. The one that I need is similar but not the same. Mine is more like a spreader bar that goes between the late year mounts.
Thanks

Forum: Air-Cooled Classifieds - Wanted*

Electronic or points

Put a Hot-Spark equipped 009 dist on with my engine swap along with a Bosch blue coil. Lasted a whole 30 miles. Let it cool down runs again. until today misses and carries on no mater what the temp is. Tested everything and it is def the pickup coil. They said its because of my alt puts out 14.5 volts under no load and they say its to much. seems normal to me for an internal regulated alt. It is new and I replaced the old one because it didn't seem right. But this new one is the exact same readings. Seems like it should have an internal regulator built into the pickup to keep it at the volts they say it should run at. They are sending me a new pickup that is supposed to handle the higher volts. But my question is should I replace the electronic with points? I never had any problems with them I just thought I would upgrade while I was swapping engine. Plus no more adjusting. Or should I just wait and see? Seems like every-time I try to fix something I get 2 more problems from the repairs.

Forum: Super Beetle - High Performance

Exhaust

I just purchased my exhaust from bumblebee and love it. I have a question though. It can go out to anyone but bumblebee would probably know better. Does the exhaust keep the sides separate in the muffler or do they combine? I ask because I was taking air/fuel mixture readings at the exhaust and they were not reading the same. The engine seems to run like the two sides are in sync but they are not giving the readings. Or do they possibly cross paths and the passenger side piston exhaust comes out the driver's side tip?

Forum: Open Forum
