Secure Signings VERY slow to pay

I just got paid on Monday, for a signing I completed in October '07 for Secure Signings out of MD. This company would not respond to phone calls, letters, emails, or the BBB .After they sent the payment, I received a blank email from them, the subject was "Are you available for a signing today?"

Has anyone been affected by the sub-prime companies closing their doors. I think its going to affect us a lot so if anyone knows of another home business that doesn't require a down line that would be great.

Lenders First Choice

I performed a couple signings for Lenders First Choice. One was just a HELOC, the other a REFI. The HELOC they paid me $60.00 because the docs had already been sent to the borrrower. The REFI the agrred upon price was $80.00. I have not been paid for either of these as yet, but it has only been a few days since the signings.
Now I get an email from them "wanting to thank me for registering with Lenders First Choice" and that they are "requiring all closing vendors to purchase E & O insurance of at least $100,000.00" and to fax them a copy of the E&O policy. Then they stated in the email their rates are $50.00 for overnight docs and $70.00 for email documents. I don't know about you but I incur enough expenses involved in a signing, i.e. toner cartridge costs $70.00 ea with a volume of 2,000 pages, gas, wear & tear on my auto, etc. I am not sure I would agree to this when their fees don't even meet NNA's base fee schedule of $65.00 overnight and $85.00 edocs.

Certified Signing Service bankrupt

I received notice from a court that this company is in bankruptcy. I called the clerk and she said there are so many notaries that were owed money that they cann't keep up with them. She gave me her attorney's name and number and email.

Loan Modifications

I have been receiving calls about doing loan modifications. It is usually 5 to 15 pages and normally 1 or 2 documents to notarize. The company only wants to pay $30.00 because of the limited number of pages. My fee is based on distance as well as time. Just thought this might be of interest.

The Signing Company does not pay. I have been waiting on a payment of $75.00 since October. I have placed over 15 calls to the company and each time I am lied to. The check is always in the mail, ready to be mailed, lost in the mail...something. This has been going on since October 2007. I'm going to quit calling them and write off the $75.

BEWARE--This company was opened by Keith Dean the former owner of United Notaries which he closed owing many people money. He figures he can beat people out of earned money by just opening under a new name.

Infinite Notaries Does not Pay

I did a closing on 11/27/07 and have not yet rec'd payment. When I call I only get a answering machine. I have emailed and no reply. This is my 2nd company to stiff me. I will report them to the BBB as I did Final Step. It is really sad when these people are getting their money but not paying for our services.
