I have just left very personal comments in relation to both the layout design and the story of the journalling :smile: It took me 3 hours but it was well worth it.

I also want to say that each and every DT member would love to personally comment on every page but life is more than a little hectic for some of us.. I've just done mine during working hours LMAO otherwise I wouldn't have had the time either. Paperific is on this weekend and Kim N is still in hospital with Carter so know that they have taken the time out to read and think you all did an amazing job :grin:

Thankyou again for sharing a personal part of your lives :)

Obviously it means extra culling over the next few weeks but there is NO WAY I could ask anyone to vote after the personal mammoth effort this week from each and everyone of you. Yes I am known as a hard ass but I am not that cut throat :tongue: I just think it could come across on a personal level to those eliminated (not that it would have been intended that way) and I really wanted to reward everyone for digging deep and scrapbooking about our REAL lives.. scrapbooks are a bit glorified and pretty sometimes I think LOL

So take a deep breath and relax.. next week's genre/criteria will be up Wednesday, maybe Tuesday if you're lucky :wink:

You are all so brave and strong and courageous. I am privileged to be able to share your stories with you and I applaud your honesty and the strength to tell them.

I am at the Chinese restaurant waiting for my dinner LOL but I just had to let you all know kim had a son this arvo :smile:

He's 5pd 2oz and has some fluidy lungs (common with ceaser bubs) and is needing a little help holding his temp so is in special care but is otherwise fine.

Just popping in to wish Kimmy & Jeff all the very best with the impending birth this afternoon

For those that don't know Kim is about 37 weeks pregnant with her 3rd child, a boy. Due to her past Kim has C-sections early, but this one is happening a little earlier than first scheduled!

I'm so excited I couldn't sleep last night LMAO can't imagine what it was like for her LOL

Kimmy everythings gonna be fine mate Make sure Jeff SMSs me a pic ASAP so I can post it - if he forgets Im gonna kill him LOL

Can't wait to see little C*****

Wish I could've been there today :sad: too bad I wasted my 'trip allowance' on Africa huh? :tongue:

After 2 weeks of lazy mornings during the school holidays we are finding it really hard to get out of bed for school. Who's idea was it to schedule DLS as the school holidays finished. It's cruel!

Is anyone else struggling?

Round 6 Criteria

Okies girls - welcome to Round 6!

This week we are celebrating the important part of scrapbooking - JOURNALLING!

Whilst it is not exactly a genre - these days we do often refer to people as 'journallers/storytellers' or 'non journallers' so it is becoming more of a genre than a technique I think :smile:

Scrapbooking is therapeutic for us on many levels.. it is our relaxation time as Mums/Working Women, but it can also be a great healing tool when dealing in times of grief/loss/sadness.

This week we will embrace the above and create some meaningful story driven LOs to treasure (hopefully!)..

Too often we get carried away with using new product, the cute photos, etc, and forget/neglect to tell the story. This week make sure your title/journalling/photos really tell a tale.

OK so the criteria when scrapping your LO (your size choice are):

- LO must have only ONE photo MAXIMUM size 4x6..
- LO needs to be about something that was difficult for you to live through, a loss, sad time or something of the like (I want some emotion here girls.. it doesn't have to be about someones passing, but can be about the sadness you feel for the orphans in Africa, cruelty to animals, guilt from taking your child to childcare, that sorta thing)
- LO must have AT LEAST 200 words of journalling if computer generated or 100 words if handwritten (we're focusing on storytelling right, whats a story without words :tongue: ) Journalling can be hidden on the LO but we need to see it for judging, so don't journal anything you don't want to share
- LO must also include SOME handwritten journalling somewhere on the LO (this criteria is not restricted so just a date or name will do)
- LO must only have ONE piece of Patterned Paper on it (that serves no purpose really LOL its just to stretch you LMAO)

Voting will work the same again this week, no voting for yourself.. HOWEVER there will be 5 NON SCRAPBOOKERS automatically putting 5 lucky girls through on the basis of their storytelling ability.. stories they can understand the best will get through :smile: therefore YOU MUST make sure the journalling is visible in the gallery and DO NOT give any background to the LO in your comments when you upload.. just materials list :smile:
