Bottle or Can?

Saw a lot of evidence of beer bottle breakage on my visit to the Expo center grounds yesterday. Alltho clearly marked at the gates, "no alcohol in or out", I for one will have my own supply. I suppose for everyone's tires sake, cans would be the preffered method of conveyance??

merchandise tax

what is a merchandise tax? i havent bought anything execpt a ticket which it also includes a processing fee...i would think that considering the high price for everything else that the merchants should cover these fees! biker rallys were meant as a get together for bikers to party, share stories and above all else RIDE, are we getting too commercial? where affordability is only for rich professionals? i dig the rally but this is where it starts; small fees here, small fees there...where does that leave the true biker? this subject for the forum was only meant to look at the taxation and corporate sponsership, couldn't we look to keep the true meaning of the biker rally spirit...or have we gone the way of the almighty corporate profit?

just wanted to say hi to everyone. I'll be at ROT this year on the grounds for the first time. Usually just go to 6th St on Friday night and party, party, party. Don't have a bike right now, but am scheduled to take the safety course and then buy one. Rode my own bike years ago and recently was rider with a friend. He's moved on . Hope to meet lots of new friends. Give me a shout.

$50.00 for pre-registration, and $60.00 at the gate. All my wife and I want to do is show up on Saturday, pay a reasonable amount, walk-around see what the vendors have to offer, we don't care to attend the concerts (more fun on 6th St.)... is there a reduced entrance fee for this type of activity or is $60.00 bucks per person.
