New to the group

Hi everyone,

I just received the book St. Benedict's Toolbox and I'm very excited to be studying with it.

I'm a Benedictine Oblate of St. Meinrad Archabbey in Indian, however I currently live in Colorado. I've been a visiting Oblate with the St. Walburga Bendictine abbey in Virginia Dale, CO.

I deeply enjoy reading books that help my spirituality and I look forward to sharing in this community regarding the many things that Benedictine spirituality offers us.

BECOMING AN OBLATE NOVICE

Hello everyone,
I just joined the group yesterday and ordered the book yesterday also.
I live in Cyprus and am deeply interested in becoming a Benedictine oblate in the UK or Ireland. (no benedictines monasteries in cyprus!)

I am applying to a convent in the UK next month and hope to be accepted as an oblate novice in the summer.
Any other oblates or would-be oblates who'd like to share stories and experiences?

New Member and Group Set Up

Hello, I am a homeschooling mom of 3 - ages 7,4, and 2. I recently discovered St. Benedict's Toolbox through Amazon.com and love it. I have found the tools to be so achievable that they are not daunting in there enormity of scope.

I am currently trying to get my local Episcopal church to set up a group to meet once a week to work through the book. Do you have any suggestions Jane?
