Nothing But The Blood Of Jesus

One night in a church service a young woman felt the tug of God at her heart.
She responded to God's call and accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior.

The young woman had a very rough past, involving alcohol, drugs, and prostitution.
But, the change in her was evident. As time went on she became a faithful member of the church.

She eventually became involved in the ministry, teaching young children.
It was not very long until this faithful young woman had caught the eye and heart of the pastor's son.

The relationship grew and they began to make wedding plans.

This is when the problems began.

You see, about one half of the church did not think that a woman with a past such as hers was suitable for a pastor's son. The church began to argue and fight about the matter.

So they decided to have a meeting.

As the people made their arguments and tensions increased, the meeting was getting completely out of hand.

The young woman became very upset about all the things being brought up about her past.
As she began to cry the pastor's son stood to speak. He could not bear the pain it was causing his wife to be. He began to speak and his statement was this:

"My fiancee's past is not what is on trial here- What you are questioning is the ability of the blood of Jesus to wash away sin. Today you have put the blood of Jesus on trial. So, does it wash away sin or not?"

The whole church began to weep as they realized that they had been slandering the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Too often, even as Christians, we bring up the past and use it as a weapon against our brothers and sisters.

Forgiveness is a very foundational part of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. If the blood of Jesus does not cleanse the other person completely then it cannot cleanse us completely. If that is the case, then we are all in a lot of trouble.

What can wash away my sins?

Nothing but the blood of Jesus! End of story!!!!

Holy Tuesday sermon at Calvary Baptist Church

All I can say is WOW!!!!!! Pastor Lenny really blew me and the congregation away with his message about how our society is so individualized and it is all about me always. I really need to change my deepest instincts to become one of the group-or His Church-which he died for. She is the true, holy, alive and everlasting embodiment of our Lord Jesus Christ. The more I love other
Christians the more I become like Him and live the Church of Jesus Christ every day of my life.

One woman said to me after the service "You're so lucky you can hear him every Sunday" I told her she could too and gave her directions. Another woman asked me for the time and place we meet.

I do consider myself very fortunate that God brought me to Red Bank Community Church when we met on Friday night in the Baptist Church in Red Bank. I have been given the opportunity to serve my Lord and Savior in a much more personal way than I have ever done. It feels great and right and holy. I love it here and I love Pastors Lenny and Gerda and all our brothers and sisters. We have grown alot and I am sure we will continue to grow in numbers and impact on our community and Her community (the church).

God bless Pastor Lenny and his eloquent use of our language and his smart
brain power to deliver such a powerful and stinging message. I love you!!!!

I just love when there is so obvioiusly a miracle from God, that just cannot be attributed to other factors. Here's the story.....at the end of August, we converted from oil to gas heat. It was expensive but we thought that in the long run it would be better.

I was called to work today a 12 hour shift hospice case in Aberdeen. When I got there I found that the patient had died during the night and nobody from my agency had called to let me know. I was, understandably, not pleased. Until.....I got home and my agency called to tell me that my patient had died, however there was a case in Highlands that I could have. She told me she would call me when she got into work and give me the details. So I went upstairs to lay down and rest for a few minutes. The carbon monoxide alarm started beeping. I ran downstairs and called the fire department. The police were here in seconds followed by the HFD and rescue squad. I'm sitting in the car now, writing about this miracle. There are police cars and fire trucks, the gas truck, ambulance, private vehicles.... We have a CO leak upstairs near the bedroom somewhere, where I was laying down, about to take a nap. Granted I would have been leaving to go to work, but tonight we would have been asleep with CO leaking all around. I would have been meeting Jesus sooner than I had expected. That in itself is not such a bad deal :-) but Paul is certainly not ready to meet Jesus.
Anyway I just wanted to know that there is a hedge of protection around me. And I believe there is one around you too. Until the appointed time, not one hair on our heads will be harmed. That's a pretty cool promise.

The Love Of Our Father

I think sometimes people equate our Heavenly Father with treating us the way our earthly fathers treated us--because that is the only father relationship we have ever known. But the more I read about the character of God the more I realize how gentle and loving He is. In Psalm 56:8 it says He saves our tears in a bottle. WOW! He loves us so much that He not only knows how many tears we've cried, He saves them!! What an incredible love that is! How many parents can say they've saved their kids tears?? Teeth, yes, tears, nahhh.

I know a lot of people were abused, mistreated, abandoned by their fathers. Their fathers were critical and unloving. I remembered a tract I had read many years ago about the Father Heart of God. It gave me such insight into how our God really feels about us. So I'm posting the URL in case anyone is interested in reading it. It was very healing for me. And every time I start to forget how much God loves me, it helps to read it again.

It was written by Keith Green, who was a dynamic Christian singer and minister, who went home to be with the Lord after dying in a plane crash in the early 80s, along with 2 of his 3 small children. Anyway here's the URL

What A Beautiful Skit This Is

Someone sent me this skit and it moved me to tears. I see my own precious daughter having the same struggles and I pray that she has the same outcome. What a cold and scary world it is for teenagers when they are without Jesus. What a cold, scary world it is for ANYONE without Jesus. As the old hymn goes, "Oh what peace we often forfeit, oh what needless pain we bear..."

I just want to let people know where I am at. I started at this church thanks to Maria and her beautiful family.And for some reason I just feel I am where I am supposed to be.My children are responding to it surprisingly wellThey look forward to going and I think that is great.I think if they are taught at a young age hopefully it will work for them. My struggle is I am going to be honestI am not sure what I believe, but after hearing Pastor Lenny this week saying that you only need a mustard seed of faith and I thought to my self well I must have at least that.Or I would not be open to even going to church....So I am not sure what I am expecting but I am hoping something changes in me....I do not know what I expectI know a ray of light is not going to shine down on me but I am hoping that feeling of something is just missingsomething is just not right can slowly go away.And I really believe that if it will ever happen it will be in this church....The people are so friendly and the way we all eat breakfast together like one big family just feels really niceand I have to add usually people dont invite us over or to eat with them because our family is so big....And this church opened up to us with open arms and that feels nice and we also had brother Len ask about us getting together maybe at his home so our children can swim and play together and that felt really good that people wanted us over for us and not to watch their children or something lol lol....So I just have nothing but an open mind and I am going to follow Pastor Lennys suggestion right now and open my bible....I can not guarantee I will understand what I am reading or that I will get up there on Sunday and share about it but I will open it and make an attempt.Thank you all for welcoming my family and oh one more thing..Maria watching your family get baptized was an honor and to see that you can leave the old behind and start over I was moved and hopefully one day I will be able to make that step....you thanked me for joining but it did a lot for memore than you know....
