Piglets hungry?

Ok, Call me stupid but, are my piglets hungry? They seem to sleep ok but I've noticed today that when mom is standing they act like they can't wait to eat. They run around trying to get a teat and squell. They seem fine after she lays down. But before she laysdown they act like the can't wait. They are a week old today and just wonder if this is normal? Thank You.

1st litter

Last night we delivered our 1st litter of baby pigs. I am new at this and need all the info possible to raise healthy hogs. I have heard about clipping their teeth, feeding them and shots. Can someone please share with me what i need to do over the next week to make sure I give them the best chance.

What is the best baby pig feed?

I know that I have raised pigs for a while. However, I cannot remember what the best starter feed was called. Last year, I think it was the showrite starter that was a big hype and that everyone was finding out that it was the best starter feed. What was the name of that feed?

Any other suggestions would work. I have access to Moormans and have always loved the feed!

P.S. Litter of pigs is two weeks old.

Hi my 5 year old daughter started to show hogs last year. We all had a great time, but had trouble finding jackpot shows except for word of mouth. She looks forward to going every weekend (last year we got off to a late start). I would appreciate any and all help in finding websites or groups etc. that would help us.

pig won't eat

my dallas barrow stopped eating about 3 wks ago, took the self feeder out and went to hand feeding to see exactly how much he was taking in, he lost about 3 lbs, then my mom started giving him maalox before each feeding, and mixing his grain with moormans moor body, 2 oz of moormans moorfat, i packet of maple& brown sugar instant oatmeal, and alpha bits, and wheat germ oil, he is now gaining 2 lbs a day. my question is. is all the sugar going to hurt him or make him wormy? i'm new to this all the help would be great.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me if the grand at the Cheyenne Futurity shown by Jordan Ochoa was the pig that was the grand at the sale in May and bought by Clark Straka or if it was the other cross sold by Pow-Her Show Pigs. Also, are there any pictures available for sale from the Cheyenne Futurity? We are trying to get a few photos for our website. Thanks.
