Bradley's Charity Rock Show 2007

I had to comment on Bradley's Rock Show for Charity on October 5 at the new Red Cross Building. What a fabulous show. This was the best ever and the best place to hold the concert. What a fabulous job converting a conference room into a concert stage. It was great. A great job done by all. Bradley was fantastic and so were all his cast mates who performed. Also a cast member from ATWT. I was at both shows and wished we could do it all over again. Thanks, Bradley and Suzi. It sure was as always a highlight of the GLFC weekend.

What's is all about Bradley?

I am intrigued by the cover of your new album "A Human Thing." And, since I had to cancel my plans for NYC and can't ask you myself, I thought I'd put it out there(or here) for discussion.

First of all I love the artsy look. When I first saw the hand guns it took my breath away, but then that is what guns do don't they? I look at this album cover and remember the prayer I said the first time my son was put into my arms....."Dear God, please don't let me raise this beautiful baby just to have someone put a gun in these tiny hands and tell him to kill someone." I am ever so grateful for the brave men and women of the past, present and furture who defend our freedoms, I just have a very difficult time with the "why" of it all.

I love how you are holding out your guitar as if to say, there's an alternative to expressing one's thoughts. Not sure what the significance of the girl in the background or the 15 cents is........Is this album your 2 cents worth (now 15 due to inflation) on a few subjects?

Bradley's October Concert

Wow, I am very impressed to see that 50 % of the ticket sales are going to the Red Cross. I also see that the show is sold out! Fantastic!

Being from the New Orleans area and having been through Katrina, the Red Cross was a life saver when we were without electricity , etc. for over 3 weeks!

Kudos to you Bradley for supporting a great cause!

New Single to be Released August 4th!

Rumor has it that Bradley is dropping another single to go on sale in the music store as well as iTunes the first week of August. The single is titled "To Be Free." It's one of the tracks off of his new album "A Human Thing," also rumored to be released soon! (We don't have a date yet).

We'll have more information available closer to the release date(s). Stay tuned!

Favorite Lyrics

I'm a "lyrics" kinda girl. I love when a song speaks to me and expresses thoughts and emotions that I could never have put into words. Or just the wording or the turn of a phrase...I am truly in awe of songwriters. It is such a gift. I'd love to know what some of your all time favorite lyrics are. I have many but these are just a couple..

From "Goodbye" by Patty Griffin. The whole song is just amazing. It took me a few listens to get what she was finally talking about...(you really need to hear the whole song) but when I did I was just blown away. She is one of THE best songwriters in my opinion. I LOVE that first and second verse. Feelings of loss and heartache are universal but have you ever heard a more original and beautiful way to describe it? It's like it's become a "tangible" emotion when you read those lyrics.

From "Beautiful Despair" by Rodney Crowell. It's my favorite RC song. To me there is not one wasted word or phrase in this song...I could never have been able to sit down and put into words those conflicting bittersweet and melancholy feelings about life (that we've all felt at one time or another!) in such a way. He is a fantastic songwriter.

As usual I could go on and on...Now I want to know some of your favorite lyrics. Let's talk some music here...PLEASE?!

Saw John Mellencamp...

Last night in Atlantic City at their newest Casino Hotel, the beautiful "Borgata". It was a great show but WAYY too short. He sang almost all of his hits---including "Jack and Diane", "Hurt So Good", "Pink Houses", "The Authority Song", "Crumblin' Down", "Small Town", "Paper In Fire", "Cherry Bomb" and "Check It Out". My sister and I were in Row 9---extremely close to him since the venue is very intimate and fancy (ballroom-ish with a stage in it). He told the crowd that it was his first time EVER to visit Atlantic City in his life. We were surprised, but he said to remember that he's just a hick from Indiana....LOL!

We danced to the song that was #1 on the charts when we met. It was "Everything I Do (I Do It For You)", the theme song from the movie "Robin Hood", by Bryan Adams.

Hi Everyone,

I have visited this board for some time and I am rather disappointed in the lack of responses. So, lets get this board started and introduce ourselves and why we love the music of Bradley Cole.

My name is Kathryn and I am an event planner/ producer specializing in entertainment in New Orleans , LA. Hurricane Katrina was incredibly difficult and heartbreaking. We are going through hard times, but we are coming back. If you have never been here, New Orleans is an incredible "gem" of a city with a warm comforting spirit. We are rich in so many cultures and are a true " gumbo" of a city which makes a truly unique destination.

I like Bradley's music because it is far from ordinary and I find it timeless. I have always loved music as it is part of the business I am in and is much of what this area is made up of. I first saw Bradley as Prince Richard when I started watching GL Again. He was the only reason I kept watching. Then as I heard his music, I found another reason to admire him. I have not seem him live yet, but would love to in the future. New Orleans could use some music relief.......

Like, I really need to ask right? I enjoy Brad's performances so much but wasn't able to make this trip. I would love to hear all about it. Apparently there are lots of Brad fans in Dayton and he had a great turn out. Sooooooo, come on, I'd love to hear about it.
