eastseries trivia question (don't know the answer)

With Matt Crafton's Craftsman Truck Series win, he sets a series record for the most number of starts before his first win (178). I know in Winston/Nextel/Sprint Cup, Mikey had 4xx starts, and I don't know offhand about Busch/Nationwide.

But how about Busch/Camping World North/East? Who had the most number of starts before their first win, and who has the active and all-time records for most starts without a win? I'm sure the info is archived somewhere, but I don't know the answers. I'm thinking Howie might be able to provide insight, or maybe even Scotiacat may make a long lost return to the board.

well off to iowa hope every one has save trip to the race. hope we aka east kick ass of the west agin. will there be a suprise driver ?i still hear the joey the shoe logano could be ther. are we going to see payton get ist east win i watched him pick on his brother at the loudin test big time but it wont be there hese on suspesion as you remeber.

Sad News from ASM

long-time Andy Santerre Motorsports crew member, Jake Jacobs passed away early Saturday morning at his home in Mooresville. It was ruled a massive heart attack. Jake was only 52 years old and leaves behind a wife and five children.

The family will be hosting an informal memorial service on Tuesday, May 13th from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM at the family home. A second service will be held in Massachusetts after school is out in June.

Looks like it's going to be rainy most of the week out there but at this point is supposed to clear by raceday - hopefully that stays the case:

May 17

Showers possible. Highs in the low 70s and lows in the mid 50s.

May 18

Partly cloudy. Highs in the low 70s and lows in the mid 50s.

One overall point to consider is that May is the rainiest month out there - good for corn; less so for motorsports. Just like moving the Showdown to January pushes it into the "rainy" season in SoCal, although the wettest month out there still has less average accumulation than the driest month around here :-)

Seaman lands deal with Lafferty Motorsports: Even at 25 years of age, Ryan Seaman figured he was running out of racing opportunities and the much needed money to fuel his thirst to race. Surprisingly, he came across a "want ad'' for a NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series driver, someone who had his experience, his energy and his desire to win races. "It was a driver development deal in a truck series,'' Seaman said. Seaman and his father, Everett, flew to Concord, N.C., on Easter Sunday evening to meet with truck owner Chris Lafferty the next morning at Hickory Motor Speedway. On the second day at Hickory Motor Speedway, the evaluation gave Seaman a complete understanding of exactly what Lafferty Motorsports had been looking for and what they saw in his performance. Everyone sat down later in the day and talked about goals and tasks to build a long-lasting relationship within Lafferty Motorsports.
