Hundreds of fish

If you just want to see a lot of fish - go and have a look in the Pennyland boat basin (the residents stretch that you can't fish) - when the sun is shining and the surface is fairly calm.
Walked along there last Sunday afternoon and we saw at least 300 hundred bream between 3 and 6 lbs - maybe bigger , plus at least 100 carp - a lot were low doubles but a few possibly around 20lb or more.
I think most still water species are spawning or about to spawn with all this sudden period of hot weather.

Surface fishing

I tried a bit of surface fishing for carp last weekend and had a bit of success so have got the bug now.
I have a carp rod, however, what setup do you all think works well? What rod? What mainline? What hoolink? mono/braid? etc etc etc.

Any tips would be gratefully appreciated.

i was fishing teardrops 4 on friday night when four teenagers tried to nick my car breaking windows to get in,

police were caled but did nothing even though i gave them details of the people involed they didnt even want to look at my car...

im writing to mkbc and parks trust about putting in some lighting to try to make cars safe,,would like anyone else who fishes teardrops to do the same.... many thanx

Message for the MKAA staff.
If you look on the post " Spring is in the air" - you will see the message posted regarding about 20 people catchinhg pike at Bradwell Saturday evening and cooking them and eating them on the bankside in the morning.
Surely something can be done to stop this??
