How Dean Gets Things Done

This is for Dean or anyone who might have saved Marketing Monday #43.
Dean did a Marketing Monday in week 43 entitled "How I Get Things Done" He had a video of a room where he brainstorms and works on his ideas to bring them to fruition. It was one of the best things I have ever seen. However, it is not available on the archives for week #43. It comes up as " "not found" when you click on the link. I already emailed Dean about this several months ago, but no response. If you are reading this Dean, please let me know how I can see this piece again. If any of you out there happened to have saved this video, please contact me.
Thanks, Alan

Lead tracking software?

Hi all,

As a fairly new agent I'm already beginning to see the absolute truth where Dean talks about having SYSTEMS in place. I must admit I've already started a really awful "post-it note" lead tracking system.

You know, when you right down someone's info on a post-it note: Ray, $100k, south Avondale area and his phone number. Maybe I wrote it down on the fly so I don't have more info to put with it right now, or someone who's email address I took down while out for dinner with a promise to get back to them.

These post-it notes stare up at me and it's starting to creep me out. (lol)

Wondering if you all can recommend a really nice lead tracking software? Or maybe that's not even the right term for what I need. I just know that in a few months, (weeks?) after a few open houses, etc, I'm going to have dozens of folks I've promised to "stay in touch" with and if I don't get a system for handling these leads, even as soft as some of them are now, are going to slip out of reach.

Help!
Thanks,
Susan in Sunny, AZ
Narrow Target Market

Dean,
I did exactly what you said to do. I chose West St. George Town homes as my target market. If feels scary to go so narrow, but there are 2788 units in 29 subdivisions I've identified. 217 sales in last 12 mos. Eight subdivisions had between a 10 to 15% turnover; 1 had 30%. Here I go; hope you're right.
Does my heart good!

I just love turning into Marketing Monday today to see "Transcript Coming Soon". No really, I LOVE THAT. As part of the Dean Jackson fan club, and someone who is more often than he'd like to admit apologizing for being behind on his MarketWatch mailings, or behind on getting his Real Estate Guides out, or possibly being behind in getting his 'getting listings' postcards out, it is reassuring to see that things don't always run as they should, even for the Master..... As God as my witness I will catch up tomorrow!

Steve Redmond
www.TucsonFoothillsLiving.com

Dean's BACK!!!

Am I the only one who is super excited that Dean is back with us?

Can't wait to see the new season unfold.

I'm personally gonna follow-through on what Dean suggests.

Is anyone else just getting started w/his Microspecialization? Or anyone further along and already chosen a specific market? Would love to hear how it's been working for you. The good & the bad.

Love his anology of the "horescope effect". (so true eh?)

Best of luck to all,

Susan in Arizona
Is anyone using this service? It's free!
I have been using it about 2 weeks now and love it.

Now I'm thinking how to "maximize" it. Maybe with FSBO's if you work them, with a text message or email. I'm thinking of doing blog posts to thru it. I have to work on that.

Anyone with extensive experience using it?

Bill

Hey Everyone!

I have been tossing up the idea of the letter from the heart prospecting idea. Has anyone tried this? If so what are the results you have experienced? If you could provide us with maybe a template or a breakdown of exactly what you put in your letter that would be most appreciated.

Thanks very much!

Joey Van Benthem!
Getting from Lead to Appointment

Dean...I've got several of my agents who are using the APS and their websites to generate a good number of leads, but are really struggling on getting them from lead status to Appointment status. BRO has a little help with some dialogue from Terry, and your topic this week had some great tips. I think it may be time to re-address the subject and get some specific dialogues that our newer agents might implement. I think it would be an excellent topic for Marketing Monday. Your thoughts....?

I look forward to each edition of your MarketingMonday. And although I buy and sell houses I may never be a Realtor.

Have you or are you planning to provide MM in any additional languages? If you winter in Florida it would seem easy, lucrative and fun to include a Spanish translation since there is a growing Latino population throughout the northern nations.
