"Lucky Day" and "My Lucky Day"

Hello everybody,

I have been getting contacted by friends and fans to see if Bruces new song My Lucky Day was written by me. No. Its just a happy coincidence that the song titles are nearly the same.

Bruce wrote My Lucky Day for his upcoming album Working on a Dream due out in January. Its a great track and you can see the video now on MySpace.

Lucky Day is a song I wrote back for the Songs for the Soldier project. In case you're curious, its a story about personal reflection, hope, help and salvation.

I hope you like it. Its one of my favorites on the album.

Bon Jovi Documentary

Hi Everyone!

I just wanted to give you a heads up that a documentary called Bon Jovi "Billion Dollar Quartet" was just released on November 28th by UK's Prism Films.

I was interviewed by the film makers this summer at the Wonder Bar (Not sure if I'm on the cutting room floor). The films direction focuses on Jon's music in the next millennium.

If anyone has seen it, let me know.

Hello everyone!

I hope all of you had a great summer!

I just wanted to give you a heads up that we will be the opening act for John Easdale and Dramarama on October 3rd. We will play around 8 PM.

I've known John for many years and I can tell you he puts on a fantastic show. I think it will make for a special night so please come out and see the show.

We are very excited about this show because this will be the first opportunity to perform for a "Live Nation" sponsored event.

I hope to see you there and wish you the very best this fall.

I want to thank all of you for coming out to see me perform with Sara, Dom, Jeremy, Eric and Jay. Jack Scarangella of the Rascals, Blood Sweat and Tears, Chuck Berry, Bo Diddley and Richie Havans jumped in to play We got to get out of this place and was on fire.

Special thanks goes out to Vini, Tinker from Steel Mill and of course Sonny Kenn. The legends of the Jersey Shore sound were well represented.

Local Heroes of Asbury Park Book Signing and Show!

I wanted to let you know about an exciting event at the Wonder Bar July 30th.

There will be a book launch, author signing and show to celebrate the release the release of Anders Martensson (Author), Jorgen Johansson (Photographer) Local Heroes of Asbury Park.

Doors open at 5:00 PM for anyone wanting something to eat. The author will be making some comments about the book at 7:00 PM and then the show begins.

I will be performing with former members of Days Awake. Also performing are Vini Lopez and Steel Mill and the Sonny Kenn band. There will be an open jam session with special guests after the final act

Tickets are $15.00. The author will be signing his book and there will be an opportunity to ask featured artists in the book for an autographl

I hope you can make it out and meet some of the Local Heroes of Asbury Park. It's going to be a very special night.

Tickets will be going fast so make sure you don't wait until the last minute. Stop bye the bar, get a drink and buy your ticket to the show!

Wonder Bar Open and Expanding

Hi Everyone,

Sorry I have been out of the loop. It's been a pretty busy summer helping Debbie open up the Wonder Bar. Everything is open now and we are expanding the Wonder Bar to include an outside deck and volley ball courts and additional parking.

Live Nation will be hosting shows here now as well as local acts. Please come down and enjoy the Wonder Bar and the Beach in Asbury!

Many of you fans have no idea what it was like being "in" at the Pony in the late 70's and early 80's. not that I was a groupie, but working for Butch & Jack back then was incredible. Lord Gunner was one of the shore's greatest bands ever. They did Max's Kansas City pretty well too if my fogged memory still serves me. nobody ever had more fun than we did - those of us still alive
Lance, I am happy to re-connect after all these years. I found your site when looking up music for my son to play on piano and found some Bruce "Bottom Line Era" stuff which brought back many memories, which include you, all the Pony crowd (Tony, John-Boy, Gail, Howie, Judy, Jan, Little Butch, Fat-Boy Petey, Tracey, et al), and of course Mad Dog!!

I wanted to thank everyone who came out to see the Cutting Room in New York City.

I would like to thank all my friends from Asbury Park who took the bus up to NYC. I wanted to especially Rick and Madison Marquette for the T Shirts and the refreshments on the bus.

I would also like to thank everyone at Dewey's Flat Iron for the pre show party.

It meant a lot to me that so many of you came out to support my music.

Update on the NYC Bus trip

Just a quick note about the Bus trip.

Many thanks to the Coaster for writing up the show in this week issue and Pat for emailing all of our Wonder Bar friends.

I wanted to let you know that Debbie is back from Arizona and you can call or email her or contact Tim at info@lancelarsonmusic.com as well if you need information or want to reserve a seat for the show.

A New Song for Mother's Day

I started writing for the SFTS project because of a song I wrote for my father called Song for the Soldier. After we completed the album, I started thinking that I had never wrote a song for my mom. She is a very special person in my life who has always been there for me. So I started thinking about a song I could write that would convey how I felt and let her know how much she has meant to me. When I was finished, I had "Happy Mother's Day". I hope you enjoy it!

Angel with Broken Wings on MySpace

Hello everyone,

If you noticed on my MySpace page www.MySpace.com/LanceLarsonMusic. I posted another song Angel with Broken Wings.

As many of you know it features my dear friend Jon Bon Jovi who sings the second verse. When I was getting ready to launch the SFTS project Jon was kind enough to perform on this song and Listen to your Heartbeat. This was one of his favorite songs that I wrote. He has always supported me and I'm very grateful for all of his help.

I was also helped out by Asbury Park's Mt. Pisqua Choir who really add a lot of Body to the Song. And of course Jimmy Leahy on the lead guitar makes the song take off. And "The Clappets" Debbie DeLisa and Bobby Chirmside adding to the percussion.

The band played great on the track with special thanks to Eric Safka whose vintage Hammond B3 makes you feel like you in church and not the studio.

I hope you like the song!

Bus Trip to NYC Show April 11th

Hello Everyone,

For all of my friends that are interested, we will be renting a bus to take anyone who would like to attend the show at the Cutting Room on April 11th.

We will leave from the boardwalk by the Wonder Bar and Convention Hall in Asbury Park, NJ around 6:00 PM. The cost will be $35.00 which includes the bus ride, a pre-show party with some finger food and pizza at my friends bar Dewey's Flat Iron Lounge right around the corner from the Cutting Room and ticket to the show.

Debbie DeLisa will be in AZ on business so my friend Tim Feeney will be coordinating the trip so if you or any of your friends are interested, please send an email with your name and telephone number to info@lancelarsonmusic.com or call him at 240-388-7344 and we'll reserve your spot.

Space is going to be limited so please let us know as soon as possible.

April 11th Show -NYC- Save the Date!!!!

I have been getting a lot of mail asking when I'm getting on the road to play.

Well we're still working on dates, but one show is confirmed:

The Cutting Room
19 West 24th Street
(On the West side between Broadway and 6th Ave North side of street)
New York, NY
9:00 PM show time
Tickets $15.00

CR is really cool venue owned by Chris Noth from "Law and Order" and "Sex in the City". It's a lounge venue with all the seats and tables no further than 50ft from the stage. Not a bad seat in the house!!!!

For any of you from the Jersey Shore who want to come to the show, we'll have a bus take you up and back from the Wonder Bar in Asbury Park. Seating will be limited (around 50). I'll have all of the details soon. Stay tuned!
