I am thinking of getting the stone angel on the cover of Milkweed for a tattoo. It is an amazing book, and it has been my most favorite book since the 6th grade, I am now a senior in high school. What do you guys think?

Does Nipper get shot?

Some of my students are insistent that Nipper got shot at Family Fest. I contend he did not, he was slammed to the ground by Beans, then rescued by Palmer. They're not buying my line by line explanation of the climactic scene, so I'm wondering if I've misread it. Please help!

My students and I are having a discussion. Some insist Nipper was killed; I believe he was not shot, only slammed to the ground, then Palmer grabbed him. Any input? Thanks!

So, I'm doing a project on Jerry Spinelli's StarGirl for Honors English. I have to make a poster about the book and all the characters. I'm not done reading it yet but I'll finish soon. I don't want to give away the ending on the board but I have to make sure the readers will understand what the book is about. ANyone have any ideas on what to include on the board or decorate with??

We are in fourth grade at Richardson Elementary in Lee's Summit, MO. We are doing an author study about you. We have learned all about your childhood and read parts from many of your books. We still have some lingering questions.

Are you currently working on any new books?
Which book that you have written is your favorite?
What is your favorite book that you have not written?
Have you tried to write any more adult books since your first unsuccessful try?
Have you ever abandoned any books you were working on?
How many games did you win in your baseball career?

Love Stargirl - A Book Project

Hi

I read both the Stargirl and Love Stargirl and
I love it sooooo.......ooooooooooo much

I did a book project for Love Stargirl and all my friends loved it.. wanna share it with you all.. I hope I have the option to upload the original presentation I did in powerpoint..

Hope you all like it..and by the way.. I did use some words from the book.. because those were the best.. and to make my classmates wonder about what those mean, so they can buy the book to read..(no offence to copy right act ..)

here it is one poem for each month and one for summary..

I am student teaching with a 5th grade classroom and for my Unit we are reading Maniac Magee. They love it! One of their assignments is to create a Book Jacket. On the back they are to research information about you. As we were researching, we came across two different websites that listed a different number of children you have. One said 6 and the other said 7. ??? For now, I told the students 6 because that was the number of children on your website. Please let me know which number is correct. Thanks! :)

Library card

We read The Library Card together. Mongoose was our favorite character because he was bad, but the library card and books turned him into a good person. He wasn't stealing things or spray painting anymore, and he didn't drop out of school like Weazel said he was. This is a magical book because as the characters read books they were changed and they became more interesting. Why didn't you write more about Mongoose? He deserves his own book.

I found this video on YouTube, and it was the Stargirl and Wayne Parr version of Hot Seat. And it was really stupid because, it was like a news show. They had the news and weather. And then when they interviewed Wayne Parr, they said he was the school bully! Where did that come from? Plus the whole time, they were making inappropriate jokes! It was really stupid.
