Math whizz needed...

Right guys, new to forum blah blah hello all :) anyways I have a conundrum that needs a little math applied to it:

Situation:

I have referred a friend to a casino, he gets $30 and I get $150, He gets half of his instantly and the rest (my $150 and his $15) goes through after wagering $8880 (can you guess what casino? ;) )
Now he has already unlocked the welcome bonus so he is sitting pretty at a very reasonable days work of $550 (350 net) after wagering $4030.

Dilemma:

Now I have said to him i'll split my bonus with him if he goes the rest of the way to $8880, which will still leave him in profit. But here's the question, according to one of the programs I use to run thousands of simulations of blackjack bonus hunting under different variables, it is telling me that my average profit will increase if I increase my bet.

I.e. If he would normally have to wager roughly $4800 betting $1 a hand he would make 4800 bets (duh.) If he wagers $2 then he would only have to make 2400 bets. If he wagers $4 a hand he would only have to make 1200 bets. All the way down to betting something like $16 a hand for 300 bets.

Each time I do this my average profit increases, but it gradually increases in smaller and smaller increments the higher the bet.

Question:

Right if you understood all that then here's my question;

Is it worth upping your bet to huge amounts like this if your bankroll can handle it (in this case $550) and does it actually increase the average profit?
Is there a calculation I'm missing here that proves me dead dead wrong?

I might be a moron but I'm a moron with a keyboard. :D
