Race Committee Meeting and Other Issues

We had a good club meeting on Nov. 24. Here's a summary of the issues:

   We voted on our favorite clothing manufacturer. Biemme of Italy won by a good margin. The sponsor and team kit committee got together to go over all costs to make sure there were no hidden costs and that we'd get the best pricing. The pricing came out within a few $$ of each other when comparing the different manufacturers with Biemme being a few $$ less for a kit than the others. We will continue down the line working with Biemme. We will be having a "fit try on" meeting sometime in Jan. 09 so you can make sure you order the right size of clothing.

   We opened nominations for new officers for the upcoming season. So far we have the following nominations: Christine Kavanagh - secretary; Mike Murafka - treasurer; Patrick Bornemann - President. Nominations will remain open until the fit try on meeting so if anyone wants to make any more nominations, post them on the message board.

   Members volunteered to serve on a race committee to explore the possibility of SVVC putting on a road race. The committee consists of Garth, Bill M., Marie, Tina, Glen, Ron M., Patrick B., Charm and Rob C. The first committee meeting will be Dec. 8 at 7:00 p.m. I reserved the City Council chambers for the meeting if you all wish to meet there.

I'll post the next meeting once we know when the fit kit will be here.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Hope you all had a GREAT day!

I have a few bikes that I need to unload quickly. Yes, I need cash. So here's what I have.

Cannondale R4000 road bike. I bought it in 1999 I believe. Campy Record 9 speed. $400.00 Oh, it's red.

Dean, team issue road bike. Probably about 5 yrs old, but served me well while riding for team Freddie Fu. Dura Ace 9 speed bright orange. $400.00

Cheerwine, team issue, tt bike. Custom built by Kane. With Renn disc wheel. Campy chorus. No front wheel. I only used the bike 3 or 4 times, so it's in perfect condition. $800.00

Cannondale, team issue mnt bike. From back in the day... 1998. It has hydraulic rim breaks. Sram grip shift. Yellow and black. $400.00

The sizes of these bikes are all 50c if road and small-med if mnt.
