CORNER PRAYER WEDNESDAY 6/18

The Corner Prayer Ministry begins this Wednesday, June 18th 6pm - 7pm. We will meet at the church. This is an opportunity to pray with community residents, encourage them and be encouraged.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT BIBLE CLASS WEDNESDAY 6/18

Join us this Wednesday at 7pm at we begin to study the book of Galatians.

TRIENNIAL CONFERENCE WORSHIP SERVICE FRIDAY 6/20

The ACGC Triennial Conference Worship Service will be held on this Friday, June 20^th at 7:00 pm at the Holiday Inn Select in Naperville. Hope Adult Choir, the Voices of Hope, will be the featured choir to open this event. We are asking all members of Hope to come out for this worship service.

HOME-GOING CELEBRATION SATURDAY 6/21

The Home-Going Celebration for our Brother-In-Christ, Isaac Peterson [sonof Mrs. Florence Peterson, will take place on Saturday, June 21^st.

Wake: 10 am / Service: 11 am. The Repast will be held at Hope Church following burial.

DESTINIES OF HOPE PRAISE PROGRAM SATURDAY 6/21

Come enjoy the celebration as our youth praise the Lord through dance and song. The Destinies of Hope will be hosting their first Praise Program on this Saturday, June 21^st at 6:00 pm and you are encouraged to join them in PRAISE! These young ladies have put in a lot of time and effort to put together a show stopping praise program. Dont miss out on a blessing! Come out in support of our youth!!!!

COMMUNITY EVANGELISM SUNDAY 6/22

Hope Members will be going out into the community on Sunday, June 22^nd immediately following morning worship service. We are looking for all those who participated in the Community Survey Canvas, and those who did not have the opportunity to participate before, to take part in this evangelism opportunity.

Please bring your White Hope T-Shirt to church with you on Sunday. If you do not have a White Hope T-Shirt please bring a plain white t-shirt. Come prepared to depart from the church following morning worship service.

MENS BOWLING PRACTICE SUNDAY 6/22

Men of Hope Bowling Team Practice for our upcoming bowling challenge will be held on Sunday, June 22^nd at 6:00 pm at Brunswick Zone 3111 River Rd, River Grove. The cost per man is $10.00. For more info, see Doyel Johnson or Tyrone Wheeler

                                Do you know any Black males who are
seniors in high school who want to go to college out of state for
'FREE' ? Several Black Colleges are looking for future black male
teachers and will send them to universities/ colleges for 4 years FREE.

                                The 'Call Me MISTER' program is an
effort to address the critical shortage of African American male
teachers particularly among South Carolina 's lowest performing public
schools. Program participants are selected from among under-served,
socio-economically disadvantaged and educationally at-risk communities.

                                The program is a collaboration between
Clemson University and four historically black colleges in South
Carolina : Benedict College , Claflin University , Morris College and
South Carolina State University 

                                The project provides:

                                Tuition for admitted students pursuing
approved programs of study at participating colleges.

                                An academic support system to help
assure their success.

                                A cohort system for social and cultural
support.

CPS Magnet School Application Deadline

CPS Magnet School Application Deadline

Chicago Public Schools plan to open six magnet schools in 2008-09 and will accept applications through April 25.

Disney II Magnet School, 3815 Kedvale Ave., will offer programming in fine/performing arts and technology.

LaSalle II Magnet School, 1148 N. Honore St., will offer a world language program.

Sir Miles Davis Magnet Academy, 6730 S. Paulina, will offer the district's first-ever children's engineering program.

Joshua D. Kershaw Magnet School, 6450 S. Lowe Ave., will offer the International Baccalaureate programs for K-8.

Oscar Mayer Magnet School, 2250 N. Clifton Ave., will offer the Montessori Program in pre-K and then add a grade each year through fifth grade; IB is offered in 6-8.

John Coonley Regional Gifted Center, 4046 N. Leavitt, will be a new regional gifted center.

This week there will be two classes during our School of Life Session. The traditional class will remain here at Hope Church to learn more about a Healthy Life Style. Those who are interested in learning more about exercise will be heading down to the gym at St. Paul Lutheran Church . No matter which class you decide to attend, you will indeed be blessed with useful information.

MEN'S FELLOWSHIP COMMUNITY PRAYER BREAKFAST

All are invited out to the Men's Fellowship Community Prayer Breakfast being held on this Saturday, April 19th at 9:00 am here at Hope Church. The special guests in attendance will be Alderman Isaac Carothers, Congressman Danny Harris and representatives from the 15th District Police Department. "Inspiring Hope For Our Community & Change For Our Future!"
