The 2nd Annual Homeschool Fair
August 2, 2008
Hosted by H . O . M . E . (Helping Our Members Educate)
a Christian Homeschool Support Group, established in 1996

at Rocky Mountain Calvary Chapel
4285 N. Academy Blvd., Colorado Springs, CO 80918
(near Austin Bluffs Parkway and Academy Blvd.)

9:30 am to 11:30 am
Introductory Meeting for New Homeschoolers or those curious about homeschooling. Begins with a 25-minute DVD from HSLDA (Homeschool Legal Defense Association). Followed by an hour and half-long question and answer session fielded by a veteran panel of homeschool parents.

Lunch Break
On your own

1:00 pm to 3:30 pm
Representatives from area enrichment activities will be available to answer your questions. Includes area co-ops, classes and lessons for homeschoolers
by homeschoolers.

Area Support Groups will be represented so that you can find just the right group to bless your family!

Please join us for all of the day, or the parts that interest you.

Your children are welcome to attend with you in the afternoon.

Countdown to College All Day Seminar

From 9:30 to 4 pm at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 9941 Lone Tree Parkway, Lone Tree (SW corner of Lone Tree Parkway and Lincoln Road).

Cost is $65 per family if registration is postmarked before April 16, $70 per family if postmarked by April 21, $75 per family at the door.

Includes one syllabus per family.

Alumni families attend free!

The workshop includes: Biblical guidelines to recognize God's calling, comprehensive strategies to pursue your calling, flexible goal-setting methods, multi-use achievement verification and records, de-mystified college and scholarship processes, powerful scholarship search methods, interactive workbook, hands-on planning exercises.

Fitness classes for Homeschooled kids

Hi All,

My name is Derrick, I'm a certified personal trainer and owner of Achieve Fitness, a fitness services company and Wholly Fit Ministries. See:

One of the many services we offer is a group exercise class specifically for homeschoolers. The classes meet twice each week, are run by fully certified, fully insured fitness professionals and are currently accepting new enrollments. We focus on cardiovascular training, balance and coordination, team work, and most of all - having a whole lot of fun. We workout indoors in a secure building that is centrally located not far from Citadel Mall.

As a former homeschooler myself, I understand the challenges related to homeschooling - including finding consistent, affordable outlets for physical education. While we are not a non-profit organization, we do strive to keep the classes very reasonably priced so as many families in the Springs' area as possible can take advantage.
