Setting Dates

Hi All,

Maybe I have missed a setting somewhere. Not sure. I would like to able to modify a group of subprojects dates in one go. How can you set the start and end date for a group of items in Resultsmanager? If I choose yes for editing the group they are greyed out. Seems like a pretty common thing to have to do.

Dont crucify me if its some switch somewhere.

GyroQ could not find ...

When GyroQ Pro 2 starts, I get the attached message "GyroQ could not find the folder F:\My Maps\". Nowhere in my configuration can I find a reference to the "F:" drive. Once, a long time ago, I was, on this computer, running an earlier GyroQ version on a thumbdrive named "F:". Might there be a registry entry remaining from my previous life? If so, how can I remove it?

Installation cannot detect MindManager 8

I installed MindManager_8 on my laptop (XP, SP3). Program runs fine. When I attempt to install GyroQ, and error message opens and states that the MindManager8 installation cannot be detected. Please advise. Thanks.

Hi

appreciate its only just been released but are there any details if a Mindmanager 8 compatible version of RM please. I've had a quick look a the new release and it would seem there are implications for RM ?.

There are features in 8 that could be of significant interest to our company and I'd be interested in seeing how RM will integrate.

Hole in one disappeared from menu

Hi,

I'm a big fan of GyroQ - specially the hole-in-1 (?) feature for quickly defining tags.

I notice this week that it has disappeared from the right click menu in MM7 - the other Gyronix furniture remains in place.

I did an upgrade from 1.9.3 to 1.9/4 hoping that might reinstall the menu option too but no luck.

This has happened before I think but I cant remember how to fix it.

ALSO - is GyroQ able toe send queue items to a MindManager connect map yet?

Dashboards hang

Whne trying to create a dashboard, about 50% of the time MM hangs up hard about half way through the process. I have to kill it in task manager. Usually, I notice that explorer.exe is at 50% utilization and I am unable to access the task bar forcing me to do a reboot.

Are there any known issues??

Installing Tags

Running GyroQ Pro 1.9.4.9, ResultsManager Pro 2.8.0 and MM 7.2.374.

Can not install GyroQ tags from lib3. Can not even install from lib1 which I was able to do. No option for Send to "Install to GyroQ" on right click. Would like to enter "Context" in GyroQ.

Any suggestions?

GQ issues with latest MM version

Hiya folks.

I've just updated my MM to version 7.2.374.

I'm running the latest versions of RM and GQ.

Since upgrading MM, when I use Send Queue, MM opens without loading RM (or any other add-ins) and it sends the queue topics to a new map, not my designated destination map.

Any clues?

Mindjet has released MM Pro 7.2 SP2. Before I install the update, are the current Pro versions of RM and Gyroq compatible with it?

Network Setup

Hi All,

Is it possible to use one main map that is on the server and the users draw their actions from this map? This is the first time I have tried this. I have created a project map placed it on the server. Then I have had another user run the daily actions dashboard and he gets his actions. Cool! Then as a test I set one of them to complete and sent the changes. I had the main map open on my machine at the time, but there was no error message from the users machine. It told us it had made the changes, but if I do a filter on the users name, all his actions are still waiting to be done.

What are the procedures if its possible to use Resultsmanager in a server environment?

Any help would be appreciated.

Installing GyroQ without admin rights?

Our corporate desktops have become even more locked down, and I now cannot update GyroQ to latest version as the install appears to require admin rights - any thoughts please?

Send Changes and callouts

Hi - Have spent many hours on RM now and It's starting to 'go in'. However I still have a couple of baffles:

1) On Send Changes - the docs suggest any changes made in Dash will go back to source map but I have tried changing owner, context, priority and even start and end date and on 'send changes' get told there are no changes to send. However, as soon as I change the percent-done icon, it will offer to sync the change back

NOTE - at which point it DOES sync back the other changes I made - which in their own right didn't generate a write-back.

2) I want to get callouts in the Dashboards so I understand I have to enable this in the dashboard template - I have hunted but cant see how to turn this on (MM7 Pro) - and when I try to place a callout in the template as an experiment, it's greyed out.

Show Next actions for all owners

Hi - first post - hope it's not too dumb.

I am trying to pull 'next actions' out of a couple of dozen project maps - sometimes planning ahead by using the funnel approach deciding for when something can be done yet - sometimes not (just hunting and pecking through a tree and adding actions and owners).

Problem - I can't get tasks for owners other than ME to show in dashboards.

This seems a pretty basic problem so I am hoping that there is a concept or 'switch' that I havent got into my head yet and that one of you will be able to give me a steer in the right direction of where to look and I will be able to work forward from there.

Tasks I owe not handled per documentation

I recently downloaded RM to use with MM7. I am unable to get tasks selected and displayed in any Dashboard for "I owe" status. I tried putting the "person I owe to" first in the Owner list followed by my name, as the documentation suggests. I have also tried the reverse. I have also tried changing the name of the Project to which the task belongs to: blank, my name and Someone Else. All to no avail. The tasks are still shown as "waiting for" and in some cases, belonging to me, but nothing I've tried results in an "I owe" status.

So I've tried everything I could find in the forums to no avail. I also examined the template filter, but it's logic is not exactly intuitive to me so I left it alone. Any suggestions? Thanks.
