Where can I find past Webinar powerpoint presentations?

I am interested in viewing past webinars, but cannot locate the powerpoint presentations on the goldencg website. Where can I view them?

I want to specify a sort order for the field called Months:

First: I add a Parameter called ?Sort, and select the values in the order I want.

Second: I insert the Group called Months and on the Common Tab, choose Formula

Then when I try to insert a formula for that parameter ?Sort, the application closes out.

The goal is to present the data in groups from less than 3 months......up through greater than 15 years

Invalid logon parameter error in enterprise

We have been having an issue with Business Objects Enterprise XIr2. Intermittently we get an error "Invalid logon parameter" when running Crystal reports through enterprise that use an oracle odbc driver. When the issue happens, it sometimes clears itself up and other times I need to change the odbc driver to another version. We have 9.2 and 10G oracle drivers on our server. It doesn't matter which ODBC connection it is pointing to, it's the switch that fixes the issue. Also we cannot recreate the issue. We have worked with BO and they say its an ODBC issue but we cannot figure it out. Has anyone seen this before. Does anyone have an idea of what the issue could be. Any help would be appreciated.

How to create a canvas larger than legal size in crystal repot?

I am trying to create a report than holds more fields than a legal size paper in landscape format, it is not for printing, but for screen display only. even if I shrink the fields as far as I can still can not have all the needed fields.
Is there any way to set up the screen to hold more than a legal size paper?

multiple columns based on first field

I am trying to set up a report where the first field sets the numbers of columns

something like this

From original report that looks like this

Report Footer

The report footer totals are printing on their own page.
I have the group totals set to "New Page After" to separate the groups.
How can I get the report footer totals to print on the last group totals page?

Stored procs run twice?

We are seeing weird behavior in Crystal 10 Desktop. In the designer, we have reports that call stored procs in Sybase where the last statement is 'select col, col, col from table' in order to return the data to the report. When we run, we see the stored proc being called twice.

Is this a known behavior? Is Crystal running once for the meta data and once for the actual data?

Crystal 2008 and Vista

Are Crystal 2008 and Vista compatible? I have thus far been unable to install Crystal to my Vista machine. I've tried versions 9 through 11 with no luck, so figured I'd ask here.

If they are compatible, what are the requirements needed in Vista?

PrintToPrinter method and promptin for parameters

In VB6, the PrintOut method would bring up the input parameter screen (when printing, not previewing a report) if the parameter values were not filled in.

In VB.NET (2005), I'm finding that there is not PrintOut method, and the PrintToPrinter method is not bringing up the input parameters if their values are not filled in, so I am getting a 'Missing parameter values' error.

I am using the ReportDocument object.

How can I get my VB.NET program to prompt for the report input paremeters?

Summing a formula field that's based on a running total

I have a running total field that sums the current balance (CurrBal) based on the Change of Group called TaxID. The running total is named #TaxIDCurrBal.

Using that running total, I created a formula:
if {#TaxIDCurrBal}-100000 >= 0.01 then {#TaxIDCurrBal}-100000 else 0.00

Now I want to sum the results of the formula and I can't

Global Variable in CRXI

I am using CR XI and have a report that lists items requested by Qty, Item, Cost, and Location in the detail section. The items have an ID (such as stove - 2; toaster - 3; gas grill- 4 etc.). I need to put in a specific sentence if the id = 4. When I preview the report I could see toaster (& other details mentioned), gas grill; then stove. Since gas grill is not the first item in the detail I do not get the sentence required. If I were to preview another report that listed gas grill first I would be able to see the required sentence. With some help I created the following global variable:

FYI, the report is grouped only by a unique ID for the Request

A. This variable is placed in the report header and page footer

Global booleanvar policyvar;
policyvar := False;

B. This is placed in the detail

whilereadingrecords;
Global booleanvar policyvar;
If {ApprovalLtrQry.ID} = 4 then policyvar := true

C. This is in the sentence required which is located in the group footer

EvaluateAfter ({@GlobalVar});
Global booleanvar policyvar;
If policyvar = true then
"Your agency has acknowledged..."

Two date ranges on the same report

If I want to create a report that shows a column with totals from previous pay period and another column that shows totals from the previous previous pay period, what is the best way to go about it? Would I need to add one column as a subreport and setup date paramaters to feed to it?

I have a report that shows the total hours for employees and it uses a parameter in Enterprise to allow you to select the pay period for the hours shown. Within the same report I would like to show a second column that shows the same hours for a previous pay period. How can I do this? Would I need to add a subreport with another parameter?

subreports and stored procedures

Using Crystal 2005, I have a report with a couple of subreports, all of which are based on stored procedures. The parameters for the main report get passed to the report normally, and all the subreport stored procedures use fields on the main report to supply values for their parameters. But it seems that no matter what I try, when my .NET application tries to run the report it keeps trying to prompt me for the subreport parameters, instead of just using the report data. Any idea how to resolve this?
