Week 5

Week 4 was pretty rough for me. I beat femmefan but not by much. Only by one was it that I won with a record of 7-6. But as the saying goes the past is past and the present is now. So let's move on from week 4 into week 5.

Seahawks @ Giants
It seems the during the bye week that Plaxico Burress got himself into a little trouble and got suspended for one game. Which really sucks bcus the G-Unit can really use him in this tough game against the Seahawks. With Plex out the Giants D is going to need top do what they do best... get to the QB. I choose the G-Men.

Redskins @ Eagles
Another fun NFC Rivalry. Which means another very physical game. I choose the Eagles.

Chargers @ Dolphins
The Fins are still partying after the shocking upset they delivered to the Pats. But with the Chargers setting in on the Sunshine State, I believe the party is over. I choose the Chargers.

Chiefs @ Panthers
The Chiefs had a shocker of a win against Denver last week. But don't expect a repeat performance. I chosse the Panthers.

Titans @ Ravens
The Ravens gave me a scare in their Monday night game with Pittsbugh. They almost cost me the weeks victory, but in the end it was close but no cigar. I choose the Titans.

Colts @ Texans
Both of these teams are having problems winning. I mean I'm sure that the Texans are used to that sort of thing but the Colts? One of these teams needs to make a turn around. I choose the Colts.

Bears @ Lions
Similar situation for these teams as with the Colts and Texans. Lions are used to losing; Bears no. But one thing that the Bears have that the Lions don't is a good offense. I choose the Bears.

Falcons @ Packers
Aaron Rodgers or as I've heard they've been calling him Mr. Rodgers had his first bad week as a Green Packer. This week however is going to be a "beautiful day in the neighborhood" as the cheeseheads get the Atlanta Falcons. I choose the Packers.

Bucs @ Broncos
Tough one for me to choose. So I left it up to fate and flipped a coin. I choose the Broncos.

Bengals @ Cowboys
This one was too easy to choose. Expect an easy win for T.O. and the Boys. I choose the Cowboys.

Bills @ Cardinals
Both of these teams are pleasant surprises for the season. Smart money says to put it on Buffalo but I going with the upset. I choose the Cardinals.

Patirots @ 49ers
The Pats are looking to wake up from the nightmare that is the Miami upset. They'll wake up soon, I choose the Patriots.

Steelers @ Jaguars
Big Ben's injured soldier is starting too affect him. This will deffinitley throw him off his game. I choose the Jags.

Vikings @ Saints
I wasn't really fellin' the way the Vikes were playing last week against the Titans. I choose the Saints.

Week 4 Picks

My Record for week 3 was a comfortable 11-5. But that was last week, now it's time for me to build on it. But, who on the face of the Earth thought that in a million years the Miami Dolphins would deliver a spanking of a lifetime to the Patriots of all teams! But enough about the fishsticks on to the picks.

Vikings @ Titans
This is going to be a great game to watch. This was a hard decision but I choose the Titans.

Broncos @ Chiefs
The Broncos are 3-0 so far, whereas their division rivals the Chiefs are doing the exact oppisite at 0-3. Expect the Broncos hot streak to continue. I choose the Broncos.

49ers @ Saints
The Niners are showing some promise this season, But not as much the Saints. I choose the Saints.

Cardinals @ Jets
It looks like Bret's age is starting to catch up with him. Either that or the Jets need some new people to back him up. Either way the Jets are in a nose dive. I choose the Cardinals.

Packers @ Bucs
Hard choice for me here but I like Aaron Rodgers and I think he's going to be able to bypass the Tampa Bay "D". I choose the Packers.

Falcons @ Panthers
I think this is going to be an easy victory for the Panthers. I choose the Panthers.

Texans @ Jaguars
The Jags shocked me last week with a last minute comeback to defeat the Colts. The Texans are in trouble because one thing I know is that tthe Jags are going to take last weeks momentum into this weeks contest. I choose the Jags.

Browns @ Bengals
The two Ohio teams are facing off. Who will prove who is the worst of the worst. Someones 0 has got to go. I choose the Bengals.

Chargers @ Raiders
The Raiders were so close yet so far from the win last week. The Chargers though had a more than easy time with their game. I don't think the Raiders are going to be able to keep up with this high scoring team. I choose the Chargers.

Bills @ Rams
The Bills are really impressing me this season. The Rams are really disappointing me though. This week the diappointment will continue. I choose the Bills.

Redskins @ Cowboys
I love the NFC East rivalries. Almost every team in that division has some reason or another to hate each other. In this extreme physical game I choose the Cowboys.

Eagles @ Bears
The Eagles are soarin' and the Bears are doing just about average. I choose the high soarin' Eagles.

Ravens @ Steelers
I know that Ben has been having shoulder problems, but I don't think that's going to slow him down enough to the point that the Ravens pull out a victory. I choose the Steelers.

How bout that Monday Night game! Now thats what I call fun.

Here are the picks for week three.

Now that Ive challenged everyone to beat me in the weekly picks, I guess I should get my butt in gear.

So here are my picks (they will also appear on the Message Board).

Kansas City at Atlanta

One really bad team vs. one really awful team.
Pick Falcons.

Oakland at Buffalo

The Bills look like the real deal, the Raiders look like theyre dysfunctional again.

Tampa Bay at Chicago

This game should be all about D fense. I like Da Bears at home.

Houston at Tennessee
The Young era has been put on hold. Enter Kerry Collins. The Garrard era seems to have gone slightly off course.

Carolina at Minnesota
The Jackson era has also been put on hold. Enter Gus Frerrote. The Panthers have Steve Smith back.

Miami at New England
The Pats wont be the same without Brady, but they can still stomp the snot out of the Fish.

Cincinnati at NY Giants

The Bengals are starting to look like the Bungals of years past. Can the paper bags on fans heads be far behind? The G-Men are steady as she goes thus far.

Arizona at Washington

The Cardinals are 2-0 and looking like the cream of the NFC West crop. The Redskins are in the toughest division in the NFL and need to win at home.

Detroit at San Francisco
The Niners have anointed JT OSullivan the starter and the man. They best protect him or they will be looking at starting Shaun Hill if JTO goes down. The Lions are clearly in some trouble. Can Martz and JTO exact revenge on their old team? Yes.

St. Louis at Seattle

The Rams are struggling and the teams owner may make a coaching change if things dont improve. Just dont expect this to be the week they finally find the end zone.

New Orleans at Denver

This could be a very good, high scoring game. Both teams are led by an excellent offense. But which defense will be up to the task? I like the Broncos chances at home.

Pittsburg at Philadelphia
Can the Steelers put up the points to keep pace with the Eagles? Or can the Iggles defense stop the Steelers and Rothlisberger?
The Eagles played one whale of a game on Monday night, and although they lost, they showed they have the makings of a NFC championship team. The Steelers are going to go deep into the playoffs and could be the AFC champs. This will be a close game. Its a coin flip, but Im taking the home team.

Jacksonville at Indianapolis

What is up with these two talented teams? They are both struggling and need to win this Sunday. I dont know that I have much faith in either team right now, but am going with Peyton and the home field.

Cleveland at Baltimore
The Browns have talent and should be a good team, but Derek Anderson was a bit off the mark last week. The Ravens have the annual quarterback and offensive issues. But I like the Browns offense with the likes of Braylon Edwards.

Dallas at Green Bay

Those Cowboys, I hate them. But damn if they dont have a good team. They really played a great game on Monday night. The Packers have done very well with Aaron Rodgers. What will happen in this game? I like the Cowboys to keep rolling up the yards and scoring the points.

NY Jets at San Diego

The Chargers must win this game! The Jets are doing just okay with Brett Favre

At the helm but the team overall is not nearly as talented as his old team, the Packers.

Sounds like you might be a Browns fan, Aaron cause you're obviously speaking from your heart and not your head. The Browns defense is ranked 12th in the league and has given up only 19 points to two pretty powerful offenses. I agree that the offense looks dismal and the coaching suspect but, I cannot let my Dawgs be maligned for NO good reason!

I know we have heard all about Danica's big win and the outside chance sometime in 2018 there may be a woman who can challenge for a win at talladega. Well, we may not have to wait that long....

Keep your eyes open for Tiffany Daniels, from Smithfield VA now living in Charlotte. She is incredible in the seat and can compete with seasoned drivers and track champions throughout the Late Model Stock Car world. I watched her run at Southern National twice now and she runs over these guys who have been running on that track for years. She is supported by a great team, Charlie Daniels Racing (not the fiddler, but yes her Daddy) and her brother is also very talented.

Rumor has it she will be driving for Eddie Sharp this year in the Camping World East series (formerly Busch East) and some ARCA races so check her out when you can.
