Hello New England Recovery Advocates!

Hope you're all enjoying this fabulous summer weather in New England. I don't want to rush the summer away, but how about talking about Recovery Month? How is your planning going? What's going on that you're excited about? As far as I know, there is one New England-wide event and that will be the New England Ride for Recovery. If anyone has more information about that, please post to the list serv. Is each state holding an event/rally on September 20th? Post here to let others know how they can get involved. Thanks!

FOR-VT is holding it's 3rd Annual Green Mountain Recovery Walk on September 20th on the Statehouse lawn in Montpelier! We definitely need volunteers. Please contact FOR-VT at 1 (800) 769-2798 if you can join us to walk, collect pledges or volunteer! Thanks

i was hoping that we would be talking to each other a little bit more but i am really not sure what were some of the things that you wanted to do.

With so many of us working in social services and also many of us in recovery i was hoping that we could talk about not only being a face of recovery but when do you decide to come out about that in the work place. i am not out about being in recovery but i am sure it is known by many i think that this could be a topic people may have some thoughts on.

also i am planning a small event at a Boston hospital to celebrate my recovery. we are going to do a support someone in recovery day bye giving them buttons to wear showing they support drug treatment because it works, i think that its nice to show providers how many of us a are just great.
