Depatment vs Catagory vs products

I asked earlier about how to be able to see my product sales in reports. you mentioned that catagories will report, and that i need to clarify the question. We sell cupcakes/cookies/and cakes. What i want to see is a report that will tell me how many of singles, 6-packs, 12 packs etc have sold at any given time.
Currently i have Departments as CupCakes, Cookies, Cakes (and other Items i Inventory). I don't have catagories, but under each Department i have the single, 6-pack, 12-pack etc products. this has worked well for easy of use by staff, but does not allow me to see how many of the products i have sold in Report form. I am not sure, with my current configuration, how to answer the questions like "how many 6-pack cupcakes have i sold this month".

Is this more clear? SHould i reorg my departments/Categories?

After purchasing the update does this update on to the original straight away or can i save it until a few other changes are madeto my system.Will this update be the full version or an add on for the original.

As of today, when I go to finish sale, say the item total is $5.25, I enter $10.00, the sytem no longer gives me the change back amount. It just opens the cash drawer, prints the reciept, and closes the sale. How do I get the cash back screen showing the $4.75 due?

As of version 10.8 ezPower will not be compatible with Windows 98.
Vista has been tested and there are no know problems.

automatic back up of data

Is there a way to set up automatic backups for my system. Currently i have to do it manually (i back up to an off-site server).

Time Clock Report Format

The time clock reports are in HH:MM however my payroll provider requires HH.hh in other words hours and hour decimal fractions. It would be nice if either the time card report could be configured for format or if the second format could be added as an additional column. It would save me from having to run down the list with my calculator before entering into my payroll.

Packing Printer

Not getting any customer information to print out when using the packing printer. No Shipping or Billing addresses. The packing printer is set up to print by invoice list. Is there a setting that I have missed? Version 10.77 Thanks Glenn

I have just started using register # 1 I rang up 2 sales on it. One foe check amount $480.00 and one for cash amount $323.00. I went to zout and it wants a check amount of $492.00 and cash of $323.00. I have looked everywhere to find the difference but find none. Any help?

Escape Commands Generic Text Driver

Epson printers:
Open Drawer: <1B><70><30><3C><78><00>
Open Drawer: <1B><70><00><19><64> (MMF drawers)
Cut Paper: <1B><56><30>
Double Width: <1B><21><20>
Normal: <1B><21><01>
Reverse Feed: <1B><65><02>

Star Printers:
Open Drawer: <07>

Citizen Printers:
Open Drawer: <1B><70><00><32><FA><00>

Samsung Printers:
Open Drawer: <1B><70><00><19><FA><00>

1) Open the Control Panel.
2) Double click on Printers and Faxes.
3) Right Mouse click on the Generic Text Only driver.
4) Select Properties.
5) Click on Printer Commands.
6) Enter the escape sequence in the Begin Print Job just as it's shown with the angle brackets.

Also set the Paper Source:
1) Click on General tab.
2) Click on Printing Preferences... button.
3) Click on Paper/Quality tab.
4) Paper Source: Cont. Feed - With Break

These are for cash drawers that are connected to the printer. There are variations where this commands will not work.
