Well I guess for some of you, the following statement comes as no surprise but Im officially announcing that Ive left Cellblock One. At first, I was just going to take a break from the group for a while to concentrate on my solo project. Over the Spring and Summer though Ive found that Im really digging where Im at musically and mentally and I admittedly lost some interest in Cellblock One.

If there is any blame to had, I guess it falls in my lap but I make no apologies for my choices. I like road that Im on and I have no intentions on straying from it anytime soon. Id like to thank all the musicians Ive worked with in the group throughout the years.Brian Chioldi, Tyler Guazzoni, Matt Coles, Courteney Bressett, and Steve Renaud. Of course, I would like to thank all the INMATES who supported CB1 over the past 6 years. Its been a great ride and you guys made the ride all that much more fun. I raise my glass to you all and wish you the of luck in everything you do!! Until we meet again.Stay true to yourself

Gettin back on the horse

Hello everybody,

Well I'm pleased to announce that I'm back to playing guitar finally. I consider it a blessing to be able to play again. Like the song says.."Don't know what you got till it's gone". I would say that I'm able to pull off 95% Of what I could before the break and even with added hardware of three screws in my index finger, I'm confident I'll be right back to where I once was.

I'm also happy to say that I'm currently mixing down some of the new solo tracks and hoping to have them available to you all soon. The stuff is sounding great by the way, but then again I am a little bias towards the material.

It's been one hell of a tough winter, but I'm comin out the other side with a smile on my face ready to lay down some good sounds. I can't wait for what 08 has in store for me. I hope it's all good!!

One more mountain....

Happy Holidays everybody. Hope your all kickin ass and taking names out there. Unfortunately my holiday has not gone all that smoothly. After coming back from breaking my metacarpal bone in my hand, I'll be damned if I dind't go and break my index finger on x-mas day. Needless to say, 2007 is not ending on a very good note.

Once again I'll be going outta my head for the next 4-6 weeks staring at my guitars wondering how to channel my energy( productive not destructive, productive not destructive.....). Of course this will effect our schedule. Stay tuned for updates to the calender.

Sometimes you have to climb mountains in your life. Some are larger than others. I'd like to think they make you stronger. I know this one will, you'd better believe it. So I raise my glass to you all and wish you a spectacular 2008!!!!

Happy Thanksgiving from the studio

HELL YEAH!! Happy Thanksgiving to all the INMATES. We hope you all had a kick ass holiday. We're happy to report that we're finally layin some new shit down in the studio. After a couple of delays we're back into the brewhouse and the new batch is showing a lot of promise. It's exciting to be back into the creative process and we think the new material is gonna rock. The new sounds are oozing with character and are sure to get the blood flowing.

Of course we're gearing up to return to the stage also. We can't wait to get back to the OPP asylum and lay the hammer down for all the Gardner INMATES!! It's been a long time coming but it'll be well worth the wait.

Halloween Update!

Ahhh....It's that time of year once again when the dead walk the earth, the gouls wait in the shadows, and the cackle of the witch can be heard in the distance. With the arrival of the Halloween season, things are getting back into gear for the boys.

Tim is back to playing Samson and Isis and his hand seems to be fully mended since breaking it back in early September. Of course the band's scheduled venture back into the studio had to be delayed until Tim could confidently attempt to lay down some new tracks. Despite the minor setback it allowed more time to write and gather some new material and the new songs are sounding great. We can't wait to get them to all the INMATES ears. The band's hoping to be in the studio during the upcoming holidays.

Also, keep an eye out for some new pics from the band's recent photo session that put Cellblock One exactly where they should be......in jail!!! But the company was very good according to the guys. Make sure to check em out when they're posted.

So from CELLBOCK ONE to all the INMATES....have a HELLACIOUS HALLOWEEN!!

BoDog Battle of the bands regional qualifier

Cellblock One is pleased to announce that they have been added to the regional qualifier for the BoDog battle of the bands which will take place at the Dise Lounge Wednesday October 10th in Boston,MA. The guys need all the INMATES support on this one. The winner will be determined by votes from the audience and will then qualify for the next round of the battle. The grand prize being a million dollar recording contract. Lets all help the boys win the battle!!

Broken hand puts things on hold...

Due to the recent and unfortunate turn of events of Tim breaking his left hand(fret hand to be specific), all scheduled events for the band for the next 5 weeks has been canceled. This includes the bands scheduled trip into the studio to lay down some fresh new tracks.

Tim apologizes to all INMATES everywhere and is eagerly anticipating the day he can pick Samson back up and wail once again.

" I've been playing for seventeen years and in that time the longest I've gone without picking up the guitar is three days. Now they say I have to wait four to five weeks and thats gonna drive me crazy."

Apologies to the Manchester INMATES!!

CELLBLOCK ONE would like to apologize to the Manchester fans who expected to see the band at Mad Bobs Saloon Thursday night. Due to scheduling mishaps, the show ended up having to be canceled. The boys did show up at the venue last night. While disappointed that they couldn't play, they did have a chance to throw back a couple brews and meet some good people. The band promises to make up for last nights absence with a kickass show upon their return to Manchester. Until then ... Hammer Down!!!

Thanks to all the kick ass crazy INMATES down at the Gardner asylum(Aka:Our Place Pub). Once again you made CELLBLOCK ONE feel right at home and the boys can't wait to come back on September 7th.

Don't call it a comeback...

Well the summer time is upon us and as things begin to heat up, so does the schedule of events for Cellblock One.

The boys have enjoyed the down time these past few weeks, but it hasn't been a full blown vacation so to speak. The band has used the free time to begin pre production for their next recordings which will be the first to feature the new power trio line up.

A tiny sneak peak of the upcoming material has been debuted recently at some of the live shows. A new song titled, "Tombstone Shadow" has been met with great reactions from the audiences. The song is a good representation of what the new material will focus on. Heavy grooves, driving beats, and infectious melodies. The guys are excited to get back into the studio and lay down the new sounds as soon as their schedule allows.

Of course the band will be back at it live just in time for the Independence holiday season begiuning with their debut performance at the infamous Milly's Tavern in Manchester, NH on July 7th. We hope to see all the Manchester INMATES at this one. We take some time to raise our drinks and wish you all a happy and safe 4th Of July!!

Enter The Power Trio!!

Cellblock One would like to officially announce their decision to move forward as a trio with Tim Brick taking over lead vocals. The decision was a difficult one for the boys, but in the end it was one that felt comfortable for the direction they want to take with their music.

Tim has had past experience handling the dual roles of guitar/vocals in previous bands and with him already contributing vocally with Baul doing back ups, it's a road he's walked before. With a new sense of vigor, the band's excited about what the future holds.

" We've always known that we could rely on each other to hold his end of things down. We care about the music and the image this band puts forward and we've walked through the fire together. I'm proud to play with these guys and I'm excited about the music that we're gonna lay down. Let's get it on! "

Look for the boys out on the road this summer throughout the New England area. If they're in or near your town, come bang your head and throw back a couple with Cellblock one.
