Concerning CCS E-mail and Recaps

To whom it may concern,

As most of you know by now, I am no longer writing the race recaps for Capital City Speedway. In the CCS news update it stated that there was a sports writer on staff each week to write the recap. I would say that would be stretching it a little bit. I am far from a "sports writer". Actually, I'm a 22 year old guy that has been dealt some rough stuff in the last few years and am trying my best to get back on my feet. I work 48 hours a week Monday - Friday, as well as support my better half with my time and energy as much as I can while she pursues her nursing degree. What people do not realize is that writing that article takes a lot of time. You have to figure the drive there and back for gas, being there at least four hours and then another three to four to put together a good quality article. With the time limitations I have on me right now, it was not worth it for what I was getting out of it to devote that much time to it. Don't get me wrong, I love kart racing and I wish CCS and the Ezzell family nothing but success in the future. I hope somebody with the qualifications and the time can fill the role of a race reporter and continue to give CCS the attention it deserves. I'm not complaining or dishing out a sad story here. I'm Just giving my .02 to whoever may care.

Recap & Photos ...

Hello everyone ...

I hope this all finds you having a GREAT day!

I wanted to fill you in on a couple details regarding the website. There were a couple comments regarding recaps and photos.

The website has been a great tool for communication and because of it - the success of the track is growing each week! WE (Wayne & Coretta and myself, the web designer) are SO APPRECIATIVE of every comment - every email - every bit of feedback for the site, the track, the staff, each aspect of CCS!

We used to have a Sports Writer on staff who provided us with a Race Recap after each race. Because of time limitations - they were not able to produce the recap but for a few races in the beginning.

At this time, we do not have this position filled. If you are interested or know someone who would be interested in filling this position, wants to be at the track each race, and write the recap - please call us for an interview.

We haven't posted them - because we just don't have them. We are sorry. We were hoping that we would have received the one for April 19th, but it never showed up, so we couldn't post it - since then - this person has decided that they are not able to continue working in this capacity.

As far as photos go - we try to get as many photos as possible each race - sometimes, I go out and shoot for several hours or even the whole day - and when I can't go - Wayne takes as many photos as possible. When I receive them, I go through them and post the ones that turn out the best. We have decided not to post every single photo - there's not room - or enough hours to edit and post every photo and take care of all the other things for the website which requires daily maintenance.

The photos have been posted on the 2008 Schedule after each race and also on the home page. When I change the home page, that link may turn into something else of important interest for the upcoming race and I don't think folks know to go back to the schedule to see all the footage.

I will work today on making the photogallery section "the place" where each race is posted - and I urge you also to be patient with us ... we are doing the best we can to provide THE BEST WEBSITE ever for GO KART RACING! Right now ... we think we've done pretty good. Sorry some have been upset ...

I guess "we ALL have been spoiled!" ha ha

We love you all and want to always do whatever we can to give you the best website - and track possible!

Also on the PHOTO NOTE ... like I said, there is no way to post EVERY photo - the count is now way over 2,000 pictures ... so we have decided to publish a DVD for you to purchase with all the footage of the races. We are working on a date for this to be available - we are possibly working on 2 different DVD's - Season 1 (April - July) and Season 2 (August - November). The DVD will be categorized for "the pits", "the grid", "the track", "the fellowship", etc. as well as each race date. Each photo on the website will have the CCS watermark however on the DVD - it will be each photo, without the watermark. Details for purchase online will follow soon - stay tuned.

AND ... with the request for more MONEY $$$ races - we are working toward that goal and they will start in JUNE!

TAG Champ

I have a 2000 Ultramax Champ Kart set up with a TAG PRD 100cc.

Ready to race (just add tires) includes a Mycron 3 tach.

There is an XL Seat installed but we have a couple others.

The motor is fresh, it only has about 30 laps on it. (South Carolina Last Fall)

Letting Go for only $1200

We need to get more in the class!

I cant ride it in Afghanistan!

Deckers???

Has anyone seen or heard from the Deckers, Pete and John?? They werent at the track on 04/19/08 and also missed the state race. They both run yamahas. Just weird that they havent been around in awhile and I was worried.
