Integrated Manufacturing once again?

Sounds like the old integrated manufacturing concepts are re-emerging? It is refreshing to see an established manufacturing systems software company embracing these novel concepts and bringing them to market. It will be very interesting to see how this evolves in the market-place and how companies will leverage them. I think that it is commendable of Camstar to spearhead this initiative; I will certainly make sure to follow it with great interest.

That being said I think that one needs to ask why is this different, if at all, from the old integrated manufacturing concepts of the 80s and 90s? Why are they getting renewed interest and why does Camstar believe that they will be embraced in todays manufacturing business environment?

Vision Realization

I glanced thru the eBook. I think its a wonderful vision to have. We keep struggling with day to day matters & tend to loose sight of what we actually are here to achieve. I am curious to understand the prerequisites to achieve the vision presented in this eBook & also to learn from people who have implemented or currently in the process of implementing this vision things like challenges faced, reasonable milestones that can be set, expected results for such milestones, has it been a bottom up or top down driven approach.

This eBook is a great idea! It gives manufacturers insight into industry best practices and really drives at the heart of the challenges that they face. It's nice to see Camstar continuing to stay ahead of the game and moving to new avenues of modern marketing. Kudos to Camstar
