Brad,
I found this interesting site. I know that you will not agree with lots of it but there are good free videos to look at
Paul

New www.bradlangevad.net

Some people are having trouble watching the videos on the web site plus it is generally a mess and needs an update and over-haul.
So a new web-site is currently under construction and should be up in weeks, not months.
second serve

Brad,
It would be helpful to have your views on the second serve. From memory you are not a great fan of topspin serves, which I normally use as a second serve but at times find it just sits up nicely to be hit.
Paul
bent elbow for the serve

I still notice on my serve contact, when my arm is slightly bent and my head facing forward as per your video analysis, my shoulder relaxes. Ocasionally I go back to stretching up to the ball and my shoulder feels the strain and yet I still hear a lot of coaches say everyone should stretch up for power. For me that one size fits all approach is not helpful. Are there any cases where you would advise a student to stretch on the serve or are there always better ways to explain the service action?

moving to the ball

Brad,
I recommend players run to the ball with their feet direction favouring the net rather than side fence. Do you agree and do you put much focus on how they start to run? Like deciding which foot moves first?
Don
Brad,
I see your web page recommends a change of grip when the contact position is higher or lower. Pat Rafter's grip almost appears eastern fh on the low fh volley. How does this fit with the theory on volley grips?
Don

Many visitors who use ie have had trouble with the videos playing on the web-site, including myself.

On the homepage is a newly added icon called "models" which when clicked leads to a 'model page' where newly developed models and under-repair new models are being displayed. The page is under-developed and will be constantly updated...hence this will be the most active page for me over the following months. The tennis, golf, swimming-diving and football have started.

Oscar Wegner

Brad,
Any thoughts about his ideas? You helped me a lot with backhand and serve but forehand has always been a bit unreliable. I have recently been following Oscar Wengers approach of keeping the racquet in front of the body as long as possible and only starting the take-back when you have really worked out where the ball is going to be. My forehand is now a lot simpler and has improved a lot in reliability as a result.
Paul
