At esquires in june Wilco and our favourites at the Clapham three dayer in August.Its really great to be able to view such talent so close to home. So all you live music wallers that wish to see some high quality stuff played by legendry musicians ,get your bits moving and drag some mates along too.Our live venues are being swalled up,so use whats left or loose them.

Dylan Howe's Unity 4. Wehay!

I went to see them at The Komedia in Brighton last night! Oh he's a very talented young shaver that one!
The jazz club has blue velvet curtains, candlight and perhaps the lingering smell of along put out Gitane!

I finally got to mee Mrs.Zoe Street Howe my benefactoress and witter about red satin shoes over a hot chocolate
After nearly breaking his ankle falling of stage, we were introduced by Dylan himself to the quartet in a gently jazztasic , whispering Bob Harrisesque, fashion .
Then they let rip, inpeccable timeing, a nod and a wink, setting a groove, what are those egg whisk jobbies called? t'shht,t'shht, t'shht, t'ssht. I am not blown away but taken up on a lickle breeze and set down on a rather lovely shag pile rug.

Interval, hugs kisses, well done. Drink?

And then the second half , they put a little pep in the step and liven it it up, we are are introduced to Ornette Coleman.........
Get scatting you crazy cats.......I am blown away now... onto a full on jazz merry-go-round.
They are awesome...go see 'em you won't regret it! xxx

Wilko Johnson

I saw Wilko Johnson support The Blockheads at Camden the other week & was very impressed. So I am now thinking about getting some of his albums, can anyone recommend a good place to start? I would prefer something with Norman on bass but it isn't essential. I was looking at perhaps 'Back in the Night: the Best of Wilko', 'Solid Senders' & 'Red Hot Rocking Blues'.

the rumour mill

right, i'm starting a page on bizzare and quite strange rumours that you may of heard and that may or may not be in the pipeline.

okay, right we've now got peter andre rumour.

I've heard from a good source which is close to the blockheads (he was at the gig in camden)he said that a certain celebrity although has said that he has recorded a song with the blockheads (he has not) will do in the near future.

I can't say more, as I don't want to get sued, however I think this so called "star" is a twonker.

Okay, I've been told by quite a few people that on the Peter and Jordan reality show it was mentioned by his management that The Blockheads would be Peter Andre's band at Retrofest,please say this was an idea only at their end and not with The Blockheads?

Does anyone have the set lists for Cox's on January 19th and The Stables on April 20th? Both great shows, even if the Stables isn't an ideal venue for the band.
