hey everyone!

It's been a while but I'm getting back to work. So i start to expect hearing from everyone again! TW? I haven't heard from you in ages, how have you been?

We have a new skin care line, called DermaLastyl.

DermaLastyl reacts with the skin, tropoelastin moves freely within the structure of the skin providing a synthesized source of elastin from outside the body, called Elastatropin. Elastatropin then moves inside the layers of skin, converts into elastin and integrates itself into the skin, successfully restoring skin's youthful look and feel, delivering smoothness and elasticity to all skin types.

Hi. I seem to remember there being a link to other websites recently, but can't find it now. Since I'm new to the Metroplex I wanted to check out some of the other good places to get 'fumes other than the Cafe, and I seem to remember a place whose name was a number...but I don't know any more...

I took a car ride upstate to Rheinbeck, New York. Met some friends and had dinner in a great restaurant named...G G's. All of a sudden my friend poked me and said, "look who is at the other table". I looked and asked her, "who?"

I was told it was Juliana Marguiles and Joaquin Phoenix. Sure enough it was. They looked great. They were friendly and so in passing their table I smiled and they smiled back. She wore nice blue jeans and a turtle neck sweater. I did not pay too much attention to him, as she was strikingly beautiful. She has jet black hair and white as snow skin. Don't know what products they use, but they sure do good things to both of them. Oh yes, in passing her, she asked what cologne I was wearing. I said "it's my secret mixture and I never reveal it." Of course it was Bond New Harlem and Egyptian Sandalwood oil. It's nice to see some famous stars every once in awhile....

I use Bond No.9 (New Harlem, Central Park, or Pasha_ then mix it with a little bit of patchouli or Arabian Sandalwood oils, and everyone always asks, "what are you wearing" They love it and so I give them a little vial of the mixture. Even got a thank you card from a lady down the road. Try it ..it works for me

Vegas Shopping, Sights...

Well as some of you know I've been taking a few days off each month to travel to Vegas to see Chad. I generally have Sunday's all to myself. Would welcome any suggestions (nongambling related) of places to visit, shop etc while I have some free time!!

We've been to Mount Charleston and Parumph. We had dinner at the Winery in Parumph and if you are ever looking for a nice romantic restaurant just a bit out of town I highly recommend it. We also made a lovely day trip to Cathedral Canyon and Death Valley.

Body Wave???

So should I do it. I used to have a body wave about 6yrs ago. This summer the heat and humidty are just getting to me. I cut off most of my hair back in March and now it's back to bra length and it has the blah's. A can of hair spray won't even help it... I've tried every volumizing shampoo, conditioner and hair care product on the market... nothing works.

Suggestions, thoughts on the body wave? You can see my before my hair was cut picture on the About Me page... would love suggestions!!

Not that I want to throw myself into the limelight but I think that credit is due where credit is due. Our wonderful Lisa, Ms Beauty Cafe herself, has been looking for the perfect red lipstick for lo these many years. Since I understood her agony full well I took it upon myself to put together a "grab bag" of red lipsticks for her to play with and sent it to her a couple of weeks ago. I'll let her report her success herself, but I just wanted you to know that Lisa is no longer on the hunt. For a red lipstick, that is.

Gardening is simply impossible to do in Texas right now. We are under water restriction.

Our next door neighbor HAD a beautiful garden with tons of vegetables that he is giving to us because the garden is getting too hot and drying out and dying.

Too bad you can't have a garden in doors these days.

My mom and I made a recent trip to target and she said something about leggings being back in style. And we both questioned why?

Tons of my friends wear leggings under their skirts and I just don't get why? It doesn't even look very cute to me, not even fashionable.

What do you think?

CHANEL ALLURE LIPSTICK

I know, as fickle as I am. seemingly with no real allegiance to any one brand of cosmetic, I probably don't have the right to rave about anything in particular but I'm going to anyway. As soon as I knew the release date of Chanel's new line of lipsticks, Allure, I ran right out to add a couple to my stash because of course I have to have the latest everything. I guess I suffered a semi-senior moment and forgot that I live in New York City so I didn't get to Saks Fifth Avenue as soon as the doors opened. When I got to the Chanel counter at noon all of the shades I would even consider for myself and, trust me I would consider just about anything, were gone. Same story at every store that carries the line. A cousin in Minnesota finally sent me one as a gift and I fell in love. And I've stayed in love for almost two months now which tells me something is very very good about this lipstick. I've added three more to my collection but I've been very choosy so I know this is the real thing. The Allure lipsticks have good staying power (although maybe not quite as much as I'd like but then nothing ever does) and they're creamy and moisturizing but don't slide around. They each have a beautiful finish, some semi-matte, some pearlized, but none dry looking. I have two of the lightest (#! Delicate & #13 Tender), one medium (#32 Crazed) and one fairly dark (#2 Mystery) and I'm happy with all of them, something that rarely happens. I can't defend the price - $29 is a lot of money for a lipstick and I'm sure the ultra-chic tube accounts for much of the price - but I can say that the color choice is incredible, all very wearable. I haven't worn any other lipstick since I received my first Allure (and I've bought other brands in the last six weeks because, well, they were there) and that says more than a lot for a woman who has only ever used more than one tube of a color (YSL #34)! Has anyone else tried it? Agree? Disagree? Would love to hear your thoughts!

I'm a self professed cosmetics junkie, a citizen of New York City, who lives for the next lip, eye or cheek fix, always hoping it will be THE perfect one.
