Wirechases

Anyone use the HSb Nester module? Im finding that its functionality is good but limited. Also wirechases dont even come into play. Whats the industry norm in handleing wirechases anyway. Our company is now trying to jimmy-rig a few methods. Even after nesting manually or using the automated module i can't seem to find where to turn on my wirchases for masterpanels so once I've put my child panels in place on the master i can't see if it falls where a wirechase could be.
Any thoughts anyone?

Wall justification

I've just noticed that when drawing exterior walls the walls come in using the outside of exterior finish of the wall... i.e. exterior of siding or stucco... so, if I was to draw a wall 4'-0" long and turn the corner with another wall, the dimension of that wall is 4'-0" less the thickness of the exterior finish and exterior sheathing thickness. I can correct this changing the justification in properties from "Left" to "Baseline".

My question is: Is there a way to change all walls to "Baseline" justification without having to use the wall in a drawing first? I'm sure it will have to be done in the "template" drawing.

I guess I'll be the first besides Jay to post here.

I have been working on setting up my ACA/VREZ to produce exterior renderings quick and easy on every job. I render straight through AutoCAD, can do different brick/stone/roof/etc textures on the fly and these take me less than 2 hours to produce once the floor plan and elevations are done.

These are the ones I did over the last 2 or 3 weeks. I know they aren't perfect, but for the time and effort they take I like them and my clients love 'em.

Any suggestions to improve time or quality without adding more work would be appreciated!

WallOffsetCopy command

Did the walloffsetcopy command change in VisionRez 6.0? It seemed like in other versions of VisionRez when I selected a wall to copy, the face of stud closest to the point I pick would automatically be the chosen component to offset from, and 1" would be added to the dimension I specify to allow for drywall. In this new version, I have to manually chose the component by hovering over the wall component, and then clicking, and if I chose the face of stud, no automatic adjustment is added for the drywall. Also, it seems there are so many options .... face, center of stud and face, center of drywall.

Perhaps there is a VisionRez command similar to WallOffsetCopy that I was using in other versions, although I looked through the command list and didn't find anything similar. I had set a command alias "WC" to reference the command, so I am assuming the command was walloffsetcopy.

Tool Palettes

I have not been able to figure out how to keep the tool palette icon image size from changing when I close / open VisionRez or change projects. I am using Autocad Architecture 2009 with VisionRez plug-in, and also use the project navigator.

Anyone have a suggestion?

Error When Editing Data In A Table

I am getting an error message (see attached) when I am editing data in a Table. I seem to be getting this message only when I have the new ACA 2009 Ribbon turned on. Once I turn it off, editing the table works fine. I am using Standalone 6.1 installed on Windows Vista.

Layering

Would anyone like to explain to me layering with hsb cad. Why does the program create new layers with the same starting name as the layer you created the element on? Or is layering even a factor now? how does this effect my workspaces and is it something i even need to mess with to get to an end product. if so what do i need to be conciouse of as to manipulate it to fit what want?
