The Email Users function
The Email Users function can be used to email all of your users at once.
Our system currently supports sending an email to a maximum of 1,000 recipients for free. For a mailing list with greater than 1,000 recipients, you can either copy the email addresses and send the email using your own email system or you can use our system to send the email for a fee of $0.02 per recipient after the 1,000 free recipients. For example, if you use our system to email 3,000 recipients, 1,000 of the recipients will be emailed for free and there will be a $0.02 fee for the other 2,000 recipients, creating a total charge of $40. If you copy the email addresses and use your own system to send the actual emails, there will be no charge.
Only the user's own email address will appear in the To: field of the email that is sent. All of the other email addresses will not be listed in the CC: or BCC: fields for security reasons. For example, sending an email to 300 users will result in a separate email being sent to each of the 300 users rather than a single email with all 300 email address listed in the To:, CC:, or BCC: fields.
Using the Email Users function to send spam will result in having the function disabled.
If you would like to respond to a single user directly, you should use the email link located in the user's profile* or next to their post on your forum or guestbook.
* Profiles are only available in forums with member registration activated.
