Linking a domain name with your account

The process of linking a domain name to your account has been created for your security so that others do not point a domain name to your message board without your approval.

If you receive an error that says "The specified subdomain is not linked with this account" or "The account "DOMAIN" does not exist or the message board has not been activated." when you try to access your message board with a domain name, it means you have not specified your domain name in your message board settings. You can do so by following the instructions below:

1. Login to your Website Toolbox account
2. Click the General Settings link
3. Under the Display tab, specify the URL to the domain name you are using in the Message Board Domain Name field.

Note: The value provided for this field should be a domain name, not a full URL to a web page. For example, forums.domain.com or domain.com, instead of http://forums.domain.com/file.html.
