State/Country USA Have you been to a Ramble? A long time ago, but I wish I could get to one of the newer ones. Subject Congratulations on your grammy!!!! (Sorry my last message was so cryptic, I'm such a big fan, I didn't know what to say for a minute.... But now I do.) Comments: Super, super congratulations on your Grammy Levon. By the way, I have both the Grammy winning CD's and well, if I described all the stuff of the Band I have, I would be typing all night the details, we don't need that... Anyhow, it's a funny thing, but I was listening to Stage Fright this afternoon, and I thought of writing a better message to you than the original one, and I was reading in "This Wheel's On Fire" about your contact with the legendary Sonny Boy Williamson, and I got so choked up in my last message because that is the kind of legend you are to me. What can I say? Don't worry you and the Band are not all I play, but I have been a fan since 1977 when I got my first LP record copy of Before The Flood that you and Dylan recorded in 1974. When I heard the reality in "The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down", and it corresponded with my Dad Joseph Clayton, Jr's handed-down stories from the South... (My Dad was born in LeCompte, Louisiana in 1938, Joseph Clayton, Sr. was born about 1904 in Morrow, Louisiana I think.) Well, you get the point. All of the songs sound a little too authentic and real for anyone else to have written them but you. Especially Acadian Driftwood... See, why I seemingly was being cryptic, this awakens a lot of heavy emotions and stuff. So, I'll gbet a little lighter, well, I posted in my blog Joshua Clayton

State/Country Hyattsville, MD Have you been to a Ramble? no Subject Levon Helm's Barn Comments: My wife told me to checkout Leon Helm's Barn because her brother, Lawrence Stamatel was going to be playing there tonight. Larry is a great guy and a serious guitar player, not famous but better than many who are. He's also an upstate NY country sort of guy, living on his own farm in Niles, NY. When I heard the name Levon Helm, I was taken back to 1975, when I drove a school bus for a Montessori school in Santa Monica. One of my passengers was little Amy Helm, who could not have been much more than three years old. I recall she was cute, even for a three year-old, almost all of whom tend to be charming. I am glad to see that Levon is well and still making music that is true and authentic. Also god to see that little Amy, who I guess is probably a parent herself, is part of the group.
State/Country Indiana Have you been to a Ramble? yes 4 Subject Grammy Comments: Congrats on the 2nd Grammy Levon!! My thoughts and Prayers are with you all and wish you continued success! (and FUN!!) Go Colts!!!!! Friends in INDY Allen & Jeanie
State/Country ri , kent Have you been to a Ramble? not yet Subject acid reflux Comments: hey levon, congrats on your wonderful music, life , etc. the best remedy for acid reflux is the juice of 1-2 lemons per day. take in a little bit of water before meals and bed. i had it bad f0r over 25 years or so, can't take the drugs cause of liver and kidney issues. lemon, while being acidic,is the best alkalizer known to man. it's just gone.......give it a try, over 200 lbs, 2 lemons. all the best, jim
