Comments: I am so glad that I found your website as I was browsing, I`m some what of a researcher myself, family research and history. I have long said that I am Tejano not Mexicano or whatever everyone thinks, Yo soy Tejano!, and I`ve hung on to that despite the criticizism of other Tejanos who have wrongly taken the other names, especialy Mexican-American which was forced on us after the War to prevent Southern Independence or to those that know it by it`s misnomer the Civil War, everyone became Americans (Nationalized) after this war. I will continue to spread the word and educate family members and to all that have an ear to listen, I am a descendant of the Hinojosa, Balli, Cavazos, Handy, Weber, Hernandez, Bocanegra, y Cerda families all from South Tejas since before the Revolutionary War and then some. I`m proud to be Tejano and have mentioned to family and wife that my headstone will read the very words I have said "I`m a Texican not a Mexican" Now I know I`m not the only Tejano in My Beloved Texas! Thanks for your great work to preserve a Proud and Honorable people, Los Tejanos. Present!... Arms! I salute you my Texas and all the Tejanos y Tejanas.
