Comments: Hi there,
To follow up on my post from below:
Dad was in Viet Nam from roughly September of 1966 to October 1967. He spent part of that time with the 184th and then part of it with the 21st RAC to help them get started up (one of two 184th guys sent to help with that effort).
While with the 184th he was assigned to 2nd platoon under Bill Hibbs.
Any help would be great. Thanks!

Comments: Hi there,
My father, Jim Lineberry, served with you guys for a period of time. I think he was a Captain when with you.
Sadly as your website indicates, he passed away in 2007 from Lymphoma, presumed to be related to his service in Viet Nam (Agent Orange).
He wrote a memoir of his time in the service, and I was hoping to collect a few stories from his time in the service to save for his future grand kids. I have his thoughts on things, but if you served with dad and remember anything funny that happened (he was a riot sometimes), any dangerous missions or close calls he was involved in, any important missions he was involved in, or anything else that might be nice for his future grand kids (and his living family) to know, please email me at:
I don't even know if he had a call sign, or who his close buddies were over there, or who his tent mates were, or how often he flew, or if he ever had serious damage to a plane, etc. Any little detail you can remember about Jim (James) Lineberry would be solid gold some day when trying to explain to a future son or daughter who their grandfather was, and how proud we are of his service to country and his honorable life.
Thanks in advance, and have a good holiday season!

Comments: I served with the 184th in spring of 1970. Transferred from 220th. Flew out of Duc Hoa. Don't remember call sign. I participated in supporting the Cambodian incursion upon my return from R&R. Took a round to aircraft, slightly wounded but stayed on station until relief in the area. May have been only pilot to have back seat put off limits to his pilots by Air Force detachment C.O. (he observed me do chandelle on take off). Looking for anyone who remembers me and willing to review memories. Shoot me an email.
Thanks,
